I don't know. Trump's bulls*** is far-reaching. I have met more than a few Latinos who, once they've "made it", turn their backs on those of their own culture. They've assimilated. They aren't one of those. My 75 year-old Mexican-American (2nd generation, I think?) neighbor casually dropped in conversation that she "doesn't go to the HEB over on Westheimer, it's full of Mexicans." How she resented having to learn Spanish.
You do know that nearly 40% of the country is stupid enough to believe everything he says, even if it contradicts what he just said before?
The data out of TX in recent elections really backs you up. And some people, especially men, seem to like the whole macho thing with Trump, whether or not they're hispanic is immaterial. Some people just love his trash talk.
Not all Hispanics are the same. Mexicans HATE Salvadorans who hate Guatemalans who hate Hondurans who hate.....
We have examples of that attitude here with some posters. This attitude is very present in the Asian community to with many Asians with the attitude that they made it here legally so resent what they see as others as getting here “illegally”. Or that they worked hard and know their heads down while other immigrants are just trouble makers who want handouts. Many particularly Chinese Americans don’t know the history that at one time Chinese Americans were very discriminated against and the first law banning a group of immigrants in this country was against Chinese. I’ve brought this scene up before but it is powerful of one immigrant group resenting another immigrant group even though both came to this country for the same reason.
I am surprised the CIA hasn’t taken care of Trump for the good of the world. I mean if they actually did stuff like that.... DD
