Get a WR in the draft, along with a DT and call it a day

59… sounds like a spicer version of doing a 68

And no @macho GRANDE I believe that’s just a Spanish twist on how to spell Roberto Woods

The more I think about it, the more of a fan I am of getting a receiver with one of the second round picks and seeing if Collins has another big season. Might be no point to get a Higgins for a year just to lose Collins (who might be better) next.

I'm sill leery of dropped passes and even more leery of deflected passes by the receivers which can lead to interceptions. It is the bane of hyper-focusing on a single element, no matter how important. I'm not saying it's bad because I don't know. But I do recall how frustrating the dropped passes by Bob Hayes were because the focus was on his track speed. He still had a great career which would have been greater if he caught a higher percentage of catchable balls when he was wide open.

The thing about separation with C J is that he can throw a ball that is unlikely to get turned over when the receiver is separated IF he doesn't deflect the ball UP and maintain drives if the receiver CATCHES the ball. Since I do not have the All 22 to study, I have to trust our evaluation team. I am not so arrogant that I believe I would do better anyway, even with the film.

I think my biggest gripe about FA was us not keeping Sheldon Rankins when we could have afforded him. He had 6 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, and nine tackles for a loss last year.

I am sure in those "minimal" conversations, the Texans knew the number he wanted and were ready to move on. No need to drag it out if hes already priced himself out of what you value him. The article makes some statements about doing better with how to treat their own FA's when at the same time Caserio and crew have rewarded several players with bigger/longer contracts

Texans upgraded big time. One of the best pass rushers in the league.

Seems like a harmless quote by him trying to be turned into something by a blogger needing a story to generate clicks for the day. Nothing more.

is a team morally obligated to make an offer if you know it won't be accepted? it might be more offensive to Greenard to make an offer well below others. I don't agree with the premise of the article that its a bad look for Houston.

Wanted to keep Rankins too. I'm thrilled with our FA class but his contract was inexpensive realitive to his production
