They could have made cap space for Armstead. Caserio had a price range and did not want to exceed it. I think the difference was $3M. Hopefully it doesnt come back and bite him. Sometimes you have to bend in order to get what you want.
Feels like every week you make another comparison that increases your age. What was your favorite leatherheads team? Could you tailgate effectively with prohibition going on? Lol
He showed us by Dying instead of selling. BTW, I didn't have as much problem with Cal as I did with BUD,
I wore an earmuff helmet in 7th grade as an 11 year old and it was already a very old helmet. But it was the only one which would fit. That would have been 1969.
There was no drinking age across the river. Every year drunk High School kids would die coming back from the clubs there.
Just seems like they could have just backed out of the Collin’s trade when they knew hunter was signable. They must feel he is replaceable…and they have time to do it
That's what you seem to be missing in your non stop obsession with Armstead and spending other people's money...they apparently didn't want him, on his terms. Someone said something way up the thread, that says it all..." Maybe they know something we dont"? Um, ya think, lol
He also doesn't seem to understand the Texans were fine trading for Armstead because he only had 1 year on the contract. They were not okay paying a guy who has been injured the last 2 years, had 5 sacks last year, 0 the year before, 23 tackles in 2 years, a 17 million dollar contract for THREE YEARS.
My overall thoughts--I like what we did defensively, but I wish we had done more to upgrade the offense, especially the O-Line which I feel should have been one of the top priorities. Maybe we'll address it via the draft. Another WR would be good, but I agree we're looking for more of a WR2/WR3 for depth, not an impact signing. And the offseason ain't over yet.
Let me ask you this, right now is Tytus Howard a good contract? Or was Brandon Cook a good contract at the time he was extended? Or how's about Maliek Collins who the just traded? My point is, you do what you have to do at the time, because that's what's needed. We need a starting DT
They are completely wasting their time signing Jameis, who is dogmeat with little chance to improve. Considering the Browns' roster, Tyler Huntley could win 1-2 games for them if necessary. Nobody else here cares, but I'm very curious to see if DTR takes a big step this year. He will have a long career in the NFL, perhaps as a starter.
