First off, I don't believe for one minute he's coming to the Texans. But... What if they pay Higgins (basically guaranteeing the first 2 years) and franchise Nico next year. That would be two seasons having both of them while CJ's contract is cheap. Two years from now, they re-sign CJ and choose between Tee and Nico. This is just a thought exercise for fun.

You still need more defensive players. Jefferson trade doesn’t allow you to add more depth. Also you will have to make him highest paid receiver.
JJ is gonna want 5/$35 mil per at the very least. Plus CJ is gonna get $65 per year when his contract comes up so you’re looking at $100 mil for two players.
