There are definitely still moves that we can make to improve. I’m not saying the season is over or caserio should be fired or CJ should leave…

I’m just saying I went into this FA thinking we would be going one direction and we sprinted in the opposite. Lots of hype leading up as the Texans are a destination for big names and we haven’t gotten any. I know it’s early, I know there are more, so we’ll see. Lots of top tier names in positions of need and they are mostly gone.

Which teams who made the mad scramble to get these players are actually going to be significantly better? Which team is more well equipped to take on Mahomes? The Eagles? The Vikings? The Commanders? The only team so far to have made splashes already and actually improve their odds to beat the Chiefs is the Packers.

The Texans need to strike while the iron is hot yes, but let’s get more than a couple days in before we act like the season is over already

Why use up draft capital instead of signing outright?

I can't imagine it will be a lot. I think Mixon has a cap hit of 8.5 mil.

Hate to speculate because I'll look dumb, but I'd think a fourth round pick or later? Maybe a sixth?

If its just mixon and pierce, that doesnt seem like much of a RB room. Maybe grab a rookie in the 3rd round of draft

For somebody that was supposed to be cut, it better be a 6th or later.

Trading for him saves cap space and prevents him from getting to open market
