Sengun Injury Thread (UPDATE: Severely sprained ankle, bone bruise knee)

I think he's talking about Landale. We all know Aussies are primitive.

 

Any combination of that line up will eat glass like no other for sure.

 

We have lost the heart of our team.....very unfortunate but could have been much worse. Life is about how you respond to adversity...this will be the case for Alpy,the team as well as the fans. We need STABILITY during this time of uncertainty. Maybe the vets ...FVV and Brooks and even Lansdale...can now step up and provide some much needed leadership. Can't replace Alpy of course, but who will step forward and try to fill part the huge void he has left with his absence. We need the vets but we also need our young core to grow up...FAST. Alpy will be right there cheering them on when possible.

Severely sprained = grade 3. It would have been better if he fractured it because he'd recover faster, but he's so fortunate not have any major damage done to his knee. As long as he doesn't rush back he's going to be fine.

The great news is, Alpi showed up and showed out this season. The Rockets know what they have with him. He needs all the rest he can get for phase 3. Now they can focus on the development of Jalen, Amen and Cam.

I visited an older ex rocket who's still around the organization a week before the deadline. He told me he "thinks" the Rockets are hoping Jalen can learn from FVV so he can eventually take over his role next season. I wouldn't be surprised if FVV is included in a package for a trade instead of Jalen. He mentioned how much Jalen/his reps were complaining about his role how he rubbed the coaches the wrong way. After he told me this FVV ended up "hurt." - but that's another topic.

This was probably the best case scenario for Alpi. I can't imagine needing knee surgery while dealing with a severe ankle sprain. Thank God he doesn't have any career threatening injuries. I hope he recovers in Turkey so he can have access to some fresh fruits and veggies. The quality is much better than in the US.

 

Agreed but this is still Phase 1.5 and entering Phase 2 and not 3.

Everybody I met the last 2 days wrote or called me in the morning to give me fantastic news. My grandparents have been praying non-stop. I’m so happy. I can go back to my life, this was incredibly depressing.

@conquistador#11 is a big Alpi fan. I have never seen him say anything bad about him.

 

Meh....it is the Internet and I already noticed he would calm down......but it is only right to apologize and clear things up.

 

I think that's the dude with the cute kid who thinks "Alperen Sengun" is the word for basketball.

 

If people think that we will just tank now, they are mistaken. No way Ime just goes out and tanks.

We'll stay focused as we have been these past 5-6 games and most likely end up 40-42

Yes I mostly agree with this. But there is a slim possibility the Rockets can still get into the playoffs; and if Sengun has been cleared by the doctors, the Rockets could definitely use him in the playoffs.
