Not to single you out, but I see this sentiment way too often - the "since it happened to me and I'm fine, the player will be fine too" or "since I came back from a similar thing in 3 weeks, the player should too!"

This is a person's livelihood and future in the professional sport of basketball we're talking about. With all due respect, it's not some random pick-up basketball 3 on 3 at the local Y after a long day of office work.

I'm just saying, I'm glad your experience with ankle issues from basketball weren't detrimental, more or less. But if Curry never got right after his constant ankle issues, he probably would have been out of the league a long time ago. I hope that doesn't happen to Sengun.

To my knowledge, Sengun becomes a RFA after the end of next season, unless he signs an extension or anything like that. If the rehab from this injury isn't handled well, it'll literally handicap the Rockets going forward AND get Sengun less of a bag compared to if rehab went perfectly.

As far as I know there will be no official games for Turkish National team this summer, and even if there were I don't think Turkish Basketball Federation would risk playing him.

It seems that professional sports have the resources to access medicine and expertise-know-how that the common man can’t fathom.

I’m glad Alpi dodged a couple of bullets (ankle, knee, possible compound leg fracture). Shelf him for the end of the season, and get him ready for
    Next season.

Lighten up. Baseball was my #1 sport. I lost my career to a snapped plate in my elbow...misdiagnosed severity of the tendinitis.

I have never seen a doc for my roll but i imagine it was grade 2 since it took me about a month to feel comfortable running. Google says recovery time for grade 3 ankle sprain, a complete ligament tear may take 3-12 weeks or longer to recover so as you see it really depends on your body and the treatment you get. A doc quoted tweeted Woj tweet and said it will take 3-6 weeks. It seems like athletes have easier time recovering from injuries than you and me. My cousin ruptured her achilles couple years ago and she is still not the same while Durant came back from that and playing basketball averaging 30 pts. They have access to any treatment in te world while we don't.

By the way, why does Woj break this news? Shouldn't that be an obvious task for the Houston Rockets organization?

Thank god he’s fine or else I’d be worrying about @AroundTheWorld ’s health. :p
