He's not good enough to be calling his own pitches anyways.

    Completely disagree.

He's fragile. That's just a fact, and nobody's fault. Pitching is stressful on the arm.

I think this issue has been there since 2021 postseason. Now that surgery was finally done he will be back to the 2021 Lance.

But another injury is very likely, probably sometime in 2025 or 2026 if we are lucky.

This is why I never relied on him returning to the rotation and why I've been screaming for another SP.

    Please elaborate on this?
He had the surgery a long time ago and they've been targeting around July of this year. Are you now saying he's not coming back this year (won't be good until the end of the year)? Once they went in and saw the damage (that it was worse then expected) why would they be saying the target is July/August?

He was told after the surgery it was worse than they thought and going to be a longer recovery of 13-15 months instead of a 6-8 month recovery like they thought going into the surgery. He had the surgery in mid June. So if he comes back at the early part of the expected recovery window that would be July. So that is why he is targeting a late July or early August return.

He probably would have been the next guy on my list after Contreras, Martinez, Mushinski, and Scott.

Lance has been one of my favorite Astros since he debuted with us. I'll never give up on him until he actually announces hes done.
I appreciate him trying to rehab to get back to the team. He put his career in jeopardy.
I think he makes it back like he wants in late July or early August. I think he helps our late push into the playoffs. All the negativity around him I had to shout out my boy.

I love McCullers. He’s a gamer. I have a signed Greeneville Astros shirt I got from him when he was in the minors. I’m OG LMC SIUEFA fan club. But I’m afraid the prognosis for guys in his situation is not promising. I really hope I’m wrong.

I would give up on him being dependable. On meaningful, it really depends on whether he's pitching in the postseason or not. In the postseason, his stuff plays such that he either gives up homers or he's dominant.

I don't think that is appropriate at all. Sure it is good for us if Cole doesn't pitch for the Yankees and I'd love for them to be pissing their money away, but I feel bad for the guy and the sport.

Yep. I don't wish injury on anyone for playing sports on another team.

I’m glad they are relieving the guy who can’t get out of his own head from making pitch choice decisions. Feels like a no brainer . With less things to worry about , Framber should be more focused which leads to less anxiety less shrink time etc .
