Especially when, you kinda don’t. It’s ok to be upset about not netting Saquon, the one guy that we reportedly set our sights on and he just chose different. But to act like this is the end of the world is pretty knee jerk. Do what you do bro.
I think the teeth gnashing is that we haven’t signed anyone of note. Idk we didn’t get Barkley but we’ve seen this show before where we don’t sign the top guys, then we wait and don’t sign the mid guys and then we end up with a bunch of one year prove it deal guys like last year with Rankins, Schultz, Cashman, Brown, etc. You can’t expect to always hit on those guys, there’s no continuity, and we have the money and the cheap QB. Fine if you don’t get the Wilkins priced dudes but at least spread some money around for guys like Hunter and Queen.
Let's see, in the first 3.5 hours of the legal tampering period the Texans have lost Greenard and Cashman and gained :::checks notes::: Lonnie Johnson
What an asinine overreaction. Remind me again how many huge free agent acquisitions the Chiefs have made the last few years? Teams that “win” the offseason rarely win when the games are played. It’s wild to me how many people should know that but still say nonsense like this.
I think Caserio has done a good job and deserves some benefit of the doubt. Besides, a lot of food remains on the table on defense.
That’s fair. I’m at an all day work conference and watching the FA ticker was the one thing I was looking forward to. I don’t think 12.3 mil for saquon was an overpay, but besides that the rest of the top RBs have gone too. So it’s a little frustrating. But you’re right, we’ll see what happens. I appreciate the kind words to start the response. I’ll tone it back.
I am thankful that Nick prioritized options and cap space. Hopefully "options" can rush for 100 yards and 2 TDs and "cap space" can record 2 sacks and 3 QB hurries in the divisional round.
