Demeco was clearly not satisfied with the front seven, and Caserio didn't draft Greenard. So it's no surprise they didn't resign him
Lol sure. That means you'd have to be happy willing to accept being a bottom 1/3 running team again against perhaps the toughest schedule in the entire league.
If we don't make a splash on a guy like Barkley, I honestly wouldn’t be mad at signing Ekeler for a bit less. That line was atrocious for him and the rest of that RB room last season, plus I still feel like he’s got a lot left in the tank. He could be a Saquon like weapon within this offense at, quite possibly, a cheaper rate. I would be pumped.
These are the two that teams could be in a bidding war for. WIlkins could possibly be up to $28M by the time he agrees; Saquon $13M
I don't care about Greenard tbh. I think he just had a really good year and is replaceable for our team, especially if you get a good DT. A good DT with Anderson will get a lot of supplementary edge rushers paid. But we do need to shore up the RB spot.
2.5 sacks, 8 TFLs and 11 QB Hits in 6 total games which included 4 starts. You could be right about some of them being cover sacks, but I'm not sure. I just know that he looked really good to me in a small sample size, and he seems to be a good fit in this system.
Didn't it look like the rotation was good regardless of who was on the outside. Quite a few players were getting sacks opposite WAJ.
I would be ok with bringing him in, but it would be a let down from what I expected. Swift/Pollard is what I expected and Ekeler is pretty good but very injury prone, he's also older. You better have a couple of really good backups if you sign him.
I'd be happy to have him return but not as the lead guy opposite WAJ. He's more of a situational/rotational guy.
