    The methodical and laconic tempo and the ponderously predictable song structure really makes me happy, like baroque classical music.

    What does this mean? "YOOUUUU?!?"

    Is "Preacher" a ghost, a....? They showed the various bullet holes in him earlier in the movie.

    Most of the best Western films have been mentioned, but one I didn’t see, unless I missed it, is The Big Country (1958), directed by William Wyler and starring Gregory Peck as well as a host of other terrific actors. Burl Ives won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance and it was well deserved.

    The face & especially the eyes of Jean Simmons along with Chuck Connors wimping out are notable parts of the movie for me.

    Directed by the excellent Walter Hill, starring Nick Nolte and Powers Booth, both doing some of their best work. Not handled well by the studio, so it wasn’t a box office success, but it should have been. Highly recommended.

    Burl Ives is oddly menacing in that movie. I dont usually associate Burl Ives with menace.

    i wouldn't call this the greatest but it was very enjoyable to watch. hec ramsey, another series with the same lead actor, was good too.

    This movie is criminally underrated. It's 3 hour run time did it no favors. One of my favs. Great score and cinematography. Great cast too.
