The thread about Westerns got me thinking about my fav scene from the Magnificent Seven. I love a great scene with great dialogue, story, and characters. That scene doesn't need any backstory at all for you to understand who's who and what's happening.

What are some of your favorite movie scenes?

This is not off the beaten path, but I don't care. Definitely one of my favorite scenes. You can also throw in the Sean Connery death scene in there as well. Brian De Palma FTW

I still remember being 8 years old and seeing this for the first time. It was when Mtv was showing the Monty Python series. I still remember nearly peeing my pants from laughing so hard at this scene

There's too many to think of and what my favorite scene is really depends on what my mood is.

Here's one that always moves me and I posted it when Andre Braugher died. The growth of Thomas from being a coward and the worst soldier is a great lesson and I think it was one of Andre Braugher's most underrated roles.

This one always got me. Won't mean anything out of the context of the movie, but they spend a whole minute and a half of screen time setting up what looks like potentially the big romantic reconciliation at the end of the film, and she just walks past him and keeps on going.

Brutal, especially in the context of normal 1940's movie structure, where the good guy always gets the girl in the end.
