Exactly. Some idiots continue with the “Green or Mobley” narrative, when reality shows us that the options were Mobley or Sengun. If the Rockets had drafted Mobley, Sengun wouldn't be here.
In any case, Green has a much bigger future in this league than Mobley.

Evan Mobley is a high level role player, that's his ceiling. He might make an all star game or two in his career but he's not any better than Jarrett Allen.

he's a taller Jabari minus the 30% 3 point shooting.

Mobley is not taller than Jabari. They are both 6'11. And Jabari is shooting 35%, not 30%, from 3 on about 5 attempts a game.

Mobley is playing with an elite defensive center on defense and is spoon fed by two excellent guards on offense. I'd say he's slightly better on defense and definitely worse on offense compared to Jabari. I'd be happy to have either on my team. But if I had to choose one, I'd take Jabari because of his higher upside.

Mobley has hit a stagnation or a Wall, no idea if he is ever going to be that player.

We have seen with Scottie Barnes that one year stagnation does not mean he will stagnate forever.

Mobley is actually extremely consistent over three seasons. So his floor is quite high. It's his ceiling that is in question. He did improve his 3pt shooting from the 20s% to 32% this season, but pretty much by shooting less than 1 attempt per game.

That is what I meant as well....to be a star player he has to do more.....if you want to stay a super role player that is fine, he would get paid 20-28 million.....for the rest of his career.

But I would still judge him when he hits 26-28 because Markkanen went off when he was 25......who knows.

He never was that good. I also don’t think he has much passion for basketball.

no offense I'm tired of these draft projections based on unrealistic developments. What happened to if Evan Mobley ever finds his offense he will be Kevin Garnett/Tim Duncan, I guess it's the same logic that if Ben Simmons ever develop a jump shot he would be Lebron.

Or Bill Simmons developing a shot, he could be Steve Kerr.

There is a range of outcomes. if you are tired of reading about ranges of outcomes before a player is drafted don't read them and just form your own opinions game after game after game with no projections from what you see only what you see in that last game. woo hoo!

Teams kinda need to do that though unless you want them to just flip a bunch of coins and pick randomly.

Is this supposed to be Bill Simmons, the multiple malibu mansion owning everyman from Boston, or Ben Simmons, former basketball player turned influencer

Nah, if Amen Thompson ever develops a jump shot, he'll be LeBron. ;)

He reminds me a ton of Marcus Camby...

I think he needs to play C, not Forward, to really maximize his impact on a game.
