This does seem to be a RUSHed job. Pretty sloppy here. They released the opinion without cleaning it up. They left metadata that folks have already looked through, revealing the editing, copying, pasting... very sloppy and embarrassing for the highest court. Supreme Court Accidentally Forgets To Delete Basic Metadata In Trump Ballot Ruling - Above the Law
It's kind of a problem that might have a rational explanation. But it looks like they rushed to put out this favorable Trump rolling, but aren't rushing to reach a decision about Trump's trial.
There wasn’t a need for a rush since I don’t believe any states have actually removed him from the ballot. If that were the case, it would have been a good rationale to rush it. Or, it could have been a rather easy case for them, but they were simply sloppy. I wouldn’t yet tie it to the other case. However, if we are working on the rationale that the Court needs to make these decisions quickly so as not to impact the election, they absolutely should also rush through the other case. Delaying it is not "fair" to either side—it leaves a cloud of doubt regarding Trump’s guilt. It could very well be that a verdict is made just right before the election, giving Republicans little to no time to react—a court-created October surprise. Essentially, this introduces chaos. Normally, a court shouldn’t really care about timing and its impact on the election, but if that’s their rationale, they should be consistent.
As far as SCOTUS goes, they're putting their thumbs on the scales, sure. But their inexplicable ruling to take up Trump's case? Trump's three picks and, I believe, Alito and Uncle Thomas (these last two are the very worst) were all shepherded to the Court by the Federalist Society and a dude named Leonard Leo. Maybe Roberts, too, but I'd have to check on that. Six conservative Catholics who owe their jobs and their allegiance to a group that has no intention of losing. You can bet there were behind-the-scenes meetings that went something like, "Look, we can't rule that a President is a King in this country, we can't rule like that." "Well, first, you can take up the case. Second: Slow-walk it. All these cases won't be decided before the election." It all plays like a Dan Brown meets John Grisham novel, I know. But it's playing out in real life.
I actually have independent thoughts and have to deal with people misrepresenting me and my position. I'm not just a hive-mind zombie drooling out of the side of his mouth like yourself.
And trump is an adjudicated rapist and adjudicated fraud. With more indictments in front of him. Scoreboard.
Yep Basically the Rule of Law is officially broken The Rule of Cash and Influence peddling is in place The U.S. Democratic system is no longer a thing Rocket River
If you look at their X page it clearly says it is satire. However, some people here have now idea what satire is.
Adjudicated to him means something bad that the Jews or Trump did but he can’t put his woke finger on it so therefore you and I are raycists. Lol
