Greenard for 20M or a great DT for 20M?

I take the DT, depends on the contract structure though.

Wilkins by a long shot. A stud DT will put this defense on a different level. Greenard was not good until he had WA getting double teamed. I’d rather sign Barnett and use a draft pick to train up. 20m is crazy for a guy who only did it once.

Christian Wilkins would infect the entire team, not just the defense. He is a unique and entertaining guy. Very talented too. I'll elaborate on his Clemson years if he comes here.

If I had to choose paying Chris Jones $30M and Christian Wilkins $20M, give me Wilkins any day.

I had not really thought we had any impending FA close to the Franchise tag until I looked more closely at Schultz. Though I believe his estimated value is inflated, his SPOTRAK est of $11,338,251 is very close to the Franchise Tag for TEs of $12,051,000 and could be even lower if Transition Tagged which is about 90% of the Franchise Tag. Exact numbers are not calculated until later.

Fairbairn is also closing in on $5,682,000 if he's seeking a substantial raise.

    I’d sign Wilkins

Draft a DE in the first round and a DT in the second.

Go offense the rest of the draft.

Miami fans are like meh. They need to resign their entire OL and decide on Tua. They also feel like he does stupid ish at the most critical times. Like grabbing OLmens junk for a penalty.

edit: quick google search and it seems he’s a repeat crotch grabbing offender. Both in college and pros.
Still want bc we need a A tier DT bad.

If Wilkins is a three down DT who can provide a pass rush up the middle, I would go with him. He's young, but he may cost more than Greenard and there is no relationship with the Texans. You might get a more cost effective deal with Greenard. Lots and lots of teams have capspace and the need for a DT shopwrecker.

Someone tweeted that FA is fluid and directions change daily, sometimes multiple times daily. Couldn’t be more accurate.

A few days ago Saquan to Houston was a formality, now not so much(it’s up to Houston at this point)
Christian Wilkins was an assumed franchise tag, now he’s looking like he’s heading to FA(Houston very much involved, still could get tagged)
Sarge reporting that BDN is looking to move from 23(heard this too, but wasn’t sure)

And the best part is the Texans aren’t being used for just leverage, there’s a real desire(especially among the robust RB market) to come to Houston

I’m guessing this is the week we see the Texans make some cuts and restructure some deals.
