If you put an average shooting guard in Jalen Green's place, we would be a decent shooting team

These numbers make perfect sense, but this is also an example of how if you pay close attention when watching the Rockets has been clear for quite awhile that Jalen Green's poor shooting + the team's encouragement of his shooting is a huge problem. No stats needed for that.

Bottom line is that Stone waits too long to make moves to better the current team in hopes that his "prospects" like KPJ or Green will pan out. The way he has handled Green is just a less egregious version of the way he handled KPJ. In fact, It took KPJ getting arrested for the team to "give up" on him, but I fully expect that KPJ would still be on this team chucking too, if not for that.

At, this point I am not quite sure what it would take for Stone to move on from Green. It certainly isn't his play this year, he's been terrible.

    TLDR: Stone sucks.

i think i've seen Os and dmoneygangbang on there before... not sure of any other cfers. but it is funny how rockets reddit ppl like to **** on clutchfans.

watch those idiots turn on jalen as soon as he's off the team and act as if they knew he was bad in the first place.

I mean, I called it last year but it was pretty obvious to me that when Green was having those "great" games during our losing streak, his inefficiency was one o of the main reasons for the losses. It's even more apparent this year since we're actually trying to win.

I also remember when we went on that mini win streak during the tank, Jalen Green was injured. It's not really a coincidence, he's just a player who doesn't contribute to winning basketball.

He's the definition of a "volume shooter" label. Those guys only succeeded in the 00s era when people cared less about how efficient you were with your shots. To this day, I still see Jalen fans argue that he needs to go to a team where he can be the #1 option and I just chuckle thinking that'd be the worst team in the league.

2020 Small Ball Rockets is my favorite basketball experiment ever. Robert Covington was a defensive beast, I still regularly watch his block to Porzingis on Youtube. That season is the main reason I'm a Rockets fan today.

But...But...I thought Ben Sullivan the shot doctor was supposed to magically heal everyone's shot?

Seriously though, people lambasted the coaching staff last year and I heard a few people on podcasts say we needed a shooting coach. It seems like Jalen was shooting better when he was working with John Lucas. Now people are coming to the realization I did last season that the roster simply isn't talented enough.

Jabari on the road is shooting 28% from 3. He can't start and continue to shoot that bad on the road.

Too less practice + too much thinking before shooting. He has a long way to go - go to become a qualified NBA player or go home.

I think there is a good chance Amen and Sengun are the two best Rockets next season not counting FVV. I think Tari, JSJ, and Cam will all shoot averagish to better from 3 going forward. Rockets will likely want playmaking, shooting, and/or rim protection from any star added.

Really hoping at least one of Amen and Sengun learn to shoot. If not, I expect one to be the headliner in a trade in a year or 2. Really don't fret over Tate, the Greens, and Landale's shooting as they won't be long time Rockets going forward (i.e., don't sweat the small stuff).

Reddit, Twitter, CF they are all the same. There are morons everywhere you go on internet. Some guy on Twitter was saying that Jalen could not be a bust because he was the one with most points among 21' players. Because he takes ridiculous amount of shots for a chucker you moron. Also i blocked more ppl here than on Twitter.

Your argument more or less is that if Green the Younger hit 35.8% or thereabouts of his 3 pt shots, the Rocket would become a slightly below average 3 pt shooting team?

Check my math here. That 5% bump is the equivalent of Jalen the Younger making 7 out of 20 shots versus 6 out of 20. Thus, 1 shot in 20 is the ballgame here.

LOL. You are so weird. Most of us had nightmares of that season and wish we could totally forget about it.

I like both Sengun and Amen. But if neither of them learn to shoot at least 33% from 3 within a year or so, one of them will have to be traded. Can't have two non shooters in the starting lineup.

I was not here then, so don't know what was the reaction on this site, but I had a blast watching it. I think there was serious potential in that lineup if the players involved were not so hard to satisfy.

The reason we cannot bench or sit Jalen because we need to help his value. We should be a better team next year when Jalen is gone

His value does not go up just because he starts.
His value goes up if he plays better.
