There have been stories out there for the past week that the league wants to know if Arizona has arena plans in place by the all star break. Could a move to Houston still be on the table or to another city because there are reports that the Jazz owners are pushing hard to get a team.
https://www.chron.com/sports/article/tilman-fertitta-nhl-houston-18680051.php What do y'all think of this?? I've always wanted to follow hockey but its hard for me to get invested without a team to cheer for (No I will NOT cheer for Dallas.) I'd been to one game before in Nashville (vs. The Penguins). It was nuts. And I tried to watch when I could during the playoffs last season I would be so excited to have a home team to check out. It seems that we would have a chance to get the Coyotes moved here. I'd feel bad stealing a team from another city but I don't think they've ever really won anything, and with a stadium that only seats 5K vs every other team sitting 15K+... does the city even really care? What do y'all think? The Return of the Houston Aeros or Houston Apollos? Or something different?
I started following the Stars and went to a couple games but I would be a fan of a team in Houston the second we get a team. There have been stories about Tillman talking to the NHL about either relocation or expansion for the past 18months. The league really seems to want to make hockey work in Arizona but if they don't get an arena they really need to get out of there asap, but it also seems the Jazz owners are putting on a full court press to try and get a team in Utah as well.
Winnipeg and Vancouver are out of control. Those cities are having one giant party. NHL playoff hockey is the best.
Just terrible getting a penalty in the first min and letting Vegas jump on them early and it was uphill all game long
This is like the Clutch City Rockets vs Seattle they can beat everyone else but this team just owns them for some reason.
