If they let Greenard walk and draft his replacement that opens up enough money to sign multiple guys like Swift/Harrison etc. if they let Rankins walk that opens up 10 mil and if they cut Woods that opens up another 4-5 mil. That's 15 mil that can go to a 20 mil type player like Wilkins. That also should leave enough cap space to bring back Schultz, Barnett Cashman, Tart and that's without having to go to the bank of Tunsil. This is all doable and Caserio is master of the FA game, so I'm not worried.
Stanek is still unsigned right? He's coming off a down year, any chance of just bringing him back on a one year deal?
Bregman isn't okay with beating and anally raping women. I'm team Bregman on that one. Bauer has become vastly over-rated anyway.... he gets a lot of attention for a guy that has a career era not far off of 4.00.
Bauer shouldn't be an Astro for off field stuff. Bauer mostly sucked for most of his career, but over his last 4 seasons, he had an ERA of 3.07 which would be the 11th best pitcher since 2018. Granted, his fastball spin rate spiked in 2018, along with a 1.50 ERA drop. For reference, FanGraphs measured the Astros banging scheme to be worth 2 runs over about 50 games in which the bangs were heard in MMP. In other words, Bauer's cheating in 11 starts as a Dodger in 2021 likely helped the Dodgers more than the Astros sign stealing scheme helped the Astros. If he isn't allowed to cheat, he sucks and shouldn't be an Astro for on field reasons.
I remember going to a few games when he was on the Bullets and he was the best player on the court each time. He was really good!
