Ime Udoka after Raptors loss: "It's Game 51. We have to see some growth"

Most of the team sucked so I'm not giving anyone slack but I expect much more from Sengun, especially to begin games. Very lately he's been lackadasical which sets the wrong tone for the rest of the team.

 

I get why he's frustrated, I get why fans are frustrated, but thus team is young..like ridiculously young.

Sengun and Jabari have shown clear improvement this season, but still need to get better which should be expected at their age. Thompson and Cam are rookies. Green is the only young player that has been outright disappointing.

30-35 wins was my expectation, .500 when I was at my most optimistic. Given the team assembled, being actually good this year was always a pipe dream.

This isn't the NFL, one year turnarounds don't happen, particularly when you have laid so little groundwork in previous years for a winning culture.

 

I think they can get to 40 wins this year but I think they need to trade Green for a shooter, trade for Robert Williams for Power Forward and start Cam as your shooting guard.

 

Complaining about Sengun this game is idiodic. They sent a double as soon as he touched the ball.

 

To this point. There are only two teams younger than Houston with a better record(OKC and ORL). There is one team younger than Houston with a better net rating(OKC).

The front office quit on the players so why should the players reward them with too notch effort?

I wanted us to sign Poeltl this offseason. Just saying. We got punked by a low probability Lopez signing and ended up with Landale. Amateur night in the front office.

 

You either understand the difficulties of rebuilding a team via hard-core tanking or you don't. This isn't 2K24. Just because these intricacies are obviously way over your head doesn't mean you have to lash out.

Not on purpose, it should ignite a fire under the player, but yeah, Pöltl has developed nicely as well.

He is at least a 26 million type of player.

 

Not making a trade told me where this team is heading. Another year in Draft. I was hoping for making the playoffs just to get some experience for the youngsters. Oh well another year with wait till next year mantra.

At least have The Astros on the horizon.

 

Love the spirit though......fans are always the hard nosed ones.

Yeah, I know they supposedly offered Lopez something similar .... but he may have been able to play With Sengun. Poeltl can't (unless Sengun becomes a shooter).

I think we some building blocks on this team: Sengun, Cam, Tari and Amen so we need to wait for them to develop. We need to get Robert Williams from the Blazers to play Power Forward and two shooters and we will be fine next year. Morey was right, if you want to be a successful franchise in the NBA you need at least two stars. We have Sengun and next year Cam will join him

 

This team is a disaster. Green and Jabari were not good picks. Only players worth playing are Amen Thompson, Cam, Tari, Brooks, FVV if he would pass more, Sengun, Nate Williams and Steven Adams next season. Offensive schemes by Ime also a disaster. Rockets have been a disaster for a long time. Must be the Houston humidity that causes the Rockets to make stupid decisions.
