He was a decent off-ball defender, but he was way too easy to blow by as the primary defender, lacked the size needed to play anything other than the 3, but didn't handle the ball well enough or shoot from 3 well enough to really be a true wing player. I loved KJM and enjoyed seeing him get out on the break and hammer people into the rim, but dude is not really that great of a basketball player.
Thank Patrick & Tilman for drafting Jalen “the Influencer” Green over Mobley, Barnes, Giddey, and Wagner.
Backups would still not have helped Green's awful shooting and decision-making which this team is heavily depending on this season. And rebuilding with rookies requires a huge amount of luck. The Rockets were simply unlucky with top picks which they were counting on. Not giving a pass to Stone but let's not ignore the reality of what the Rockets were truly facing. Also, it's 1 game of the season. Let's judge the Rocket's future midway through the season. I still think Eason will make a big difference on defense and hustle that the Rockets lacked in the 1st game.
I thank Fertitta though for not being horrible every year. Go dine at Landry's! Coupons available at your nearest.
Cam Tari Amen Sengun Jalen Jabari Stone hasn't actually missed on a prospect and gets amazing value from late lotto picks.
You can't get a hit on every pick. At least he knew enough to decide which ones weren't NBA-level players after seeing them for a year or two. And many thanks to whoever bumped this thread. I had a long day and needed a laugh.
