    I have no issues with this trade. A backup/future center taken with our lotto pick wouldn’t really be ready to help much next year anyway. This provides a bridge to that player being ready in 25-26.

    Very similar to the robert williams rumors, where we are effectively extending the oladipo contract an extra year for salary matching purposes. All while gaining a solid solid backup 5 for next year who will provide defense and rebounding.

    Great move imo.

    I think the thinking is more: this year is gravy, we are still building for the future more than the present. It's a spectrum, not a switch.
