They will snarl and spit at you, scratch until you bleed from your eyes, kick you in the balls … crawl at your feet and bite you until you give up or rue the day you walked on the court. If you are good enough you may beat them but it’s going to be because you score last and the buzzer sounded. This group of guys are just dawgs.
Every road win in this conference is a huge bonus. I was having flashbacks to past years when the game was close I just knew the refs were going to go full UT homer on us.
Intense culture win. Glad to see it. I think it was after the Iowa State loss I said I wanted Shead to assert his will down the stretch of games more. This is what I'm talking about. Make them try and stop you, they can't.
Dunn, Wilson, and Walker combined for 20 minutes and two points total. They have got to get more production from the bench. You could see how tired Shead was at the end, carrying the team on his back again.
These are the type of moments where TA is missed significantly for depth purposes. He’s just a way better player than all 3 players in every aspect with a higher ceiling. Wilson/Walker aren’t on the floor to score. They just need to play defense and hustle while trying to eat some minutes. Any points on the board from them is a bonus. Dunn is still that question mark. Struggling to adjust to his new role and how UH plays. Hopefully we get more solid games from him rather than bad. When he took that off balance midrange and it hit the back board, I knew he was going to hear it from KS. Low and behold the cameras immediately panned to KS reaction lol. Also too bad Tramon isn’t still here. He would excel in Dunn’s role
I'm not so sure Kelvin Sampson isn't basically training a bunch of green berets and navy seals instead of a basketball team. These dudes are the most physically and mentally tough SOBs I've ever seen on a basketball court.
Relatable. I get frustrated watching Baylor games sometimes because they don’t close out and rebound and do the little stuff that I watch the Coogs do relentlessly….and I have to remind myself that no team does that stuff so relentlessly as UH does.
That's why i mentioned unlock. He shot 33-82 from 3 at UTA so he's got potential to work with The way he plays defense and hustles is definitely a KS type. He reminds me of a fresh Nate Hinton flying around but just more athletic
