I like Greg Olson, but he shows his ignorance of Brock Purdy's running ability. He's not a "running QB" but his athleticism is one thing all 49ers fans appreciate about him compared to Jimmy G. EDIT: Goff has been playoff Jimmy G in the 2nd half.
SF has a ton of good players - CMC is certainly the best RB in the league. While super good and versatile, no one would put Aiyuk or Deebo as a top-3 or 4 receiver. Kittle is great but not at the level of Kelce or Andrews - probably same level as LaPorta. Holt, Bruce, Faulk? Kelce, Hill (both top-2 or 3 at their position) Harrison, Wayne, James Gronk, Hernandez, Welker, Branch Even Detroit this year goes crazy deep - LaPorta, St. Brown, Williams, Montgomery, Gibbs Cinci these last few years I believe some of those Drew Brees teams in NO were loaded on offense SF is super-talented. They aren't anywhere close to unheard-of talented, though.
Can't wait to hear the Lions fans have their turn whining like little b****es. It's a conspiracy! Cue the ref photoshops!
Speaking of conspiracies I guess that one about all the Super Bowl matchups being fixed by the colors of the logo is done now given the purple team lost.
66 years ago, the Lions played at the old Kezar Stadium in SF against the 49ers in a one game playoff to see who would represent the Western Conference in the 1957 NFL Championship Game. 49ers led 24-7 at halftime (score sound familiar?) only to choke in the second half and give up 24 unanswered points as the Lions won 31-27 (49ers got a field goal early in the 2nd half) and then went on to trounce the Cleveland Browns and their rookie RB Jim Brown 59-14. That was the last time the Lions won a championship and then the curse of Bobby Layne started and has apparently continued. Another year of not watching the Super Bowl…
