I'm sympathetic to those of you who like and trust JP. He's very talented.

And LOL at all of us not wanting to type his first name. :D

I'm looking forward to this movie about JP France.
I just hope this isn't a movie about the Astros' Waterloo

Finally watched this, and it was alright for the time constraints, like a cliffs notes for lazy essay takers.

JP isn't a Daniel Day Lewis who can make me unsee the actor. The Brit accents for the franch confused me when the Real Brits came onscreen.

They should've casted a Frenchman or Corsican.

I wanted to like this film a lot. For such an interesting person - this movie flattens his life into a not-so-interesting relationship with Josephine. His battles and tactical brilliance are reduced to a few throwaway scenes. And JP's portrayal was of a dude who's whiny a panicky. It felt like this movie had events happening to Napoleon vs him effecting events. 2/5 stars

The Daisey Ridley 4 hour Director's Cut will be released on HBO. So no worries.

Probably going to get a Directors Cut that makes the movie better, a la Kingdom of Heaven.

    "Where's Napoleon?"
    "He was being a dick."
