pairing Mike Evans with Stroud seems appealing, but Evans is on the wrong side of 30 with a history of soft tissue injuries

I’d like to see us improve both sides of the trenches first. For the next 2-5 years we’re gonna have to go to some of those northern AFC teams (Bills, Bengals, KC, Balt) whether it be in the playoffs or regular season. So we’re gonna have to run and control the line to win. I don’t wanna see us being one of those Dome/Warm weather teams that folds anytime the temp drops to 70 F.

I think Schultz is gone. He is the best TE free agent on the market and someone will overpay.

Mike Evans has only missed 3 games once during his 10 year career, and a couple other times missed just one game. He's a durable WR who would be awesome to be had for the right price. Also if the CeeDee Lamb vs Dak rumors are true (another top talent WR trying to run away from Dak), then the Texans would be very smart to offer a good trade package around some draft picks to bring Lamb back home

Jerry would sell the team before he traded Cee Dee to the Texans. Remember how he blocked Romo from coming here.

Trenches, trenches, trenches. It's where games are won and lost.

    Biggest Needs:

    • Starting RT and LG (or C if Scruggs stays at LG).

    • Starting DE opposite of Will Anderson. Greenard needs to be be re-signed too.

    • Both 2-Tech and 3-Tech DT's. Our biggest need along with RT/LG imo.

    • Another starting CB opposite Sting and a starting FS.

    • Another LB, especially if we let Cashman walk (he should be re-signed).

    • Starting WR2 so Tank can operate in the Slot.

    • Another TE if we let Schultz walk (he will be too expensive to keep imo).

We have 7 draft picks in the 2024 NFL Draft + lots of cap space. Caserio and his staff have their work cut out for them this offseason.

starts in the trenches - need a better O-line to get the run game going and need a run stopping D-line. The inability to run the ball or stop the run was downfall of this team.

mike evans is overrated. Ask Brady about how sloppy and lazy of a route runner he is. When evans plays hard all game he is great, but when he is disinterested and starts quitting on routes( which is 90% of the time) his qbs get unfairly tacked with interceptions.

mike evans is a glorified tight end at this point in his career. He is great for goal to go scores( which is how Brady preferred to use him), but is very volatile on any other part of the field. Hard pass

    cj needs route running technicians

Jarrett Patterson will be back. Hope that Kenyon Green comes back healthy and improved. He's still the youngest player on the team even in his second year so there is room for growth with him. Tytus Howard comes back healthy. Still have Scruggs, Fant, Kendrick Green as well.
I wouldn't waste much time on the O-line.

Defensive line is a different story. Need interior D-Line. We don't have a legit starter on the team at the moment. Sign Jones and draft Sweat.
Need another corner to par with Sting let.
Need another safety since Ward can't stay healthy.

What CJ needs more than anything is a run game to open up the passing game, four of the five most efficient rushing offenses by YPC made the postseason, and more likely than not, will make up three of the four last teams standing (if Detroit beats Tampa).

For as great as CJ was dealing with endless 2nd and 8s, imagine how much better he would be if he instead had endless 2nd and 4s.

Agree with this. O-line is about the only place Nick has invested significant money and draft picks. DT needs to be addressed most then LB, CB, S. TE and RB depend on if we resign Schultz and Singletary.

I was all onboard with bringing Dalton Schultz back after the regular season but his post-season performance is a little worrying. He looked a little shook the past couple of weeks. Even on that TD vs the Browns he had to double clutch with no defender near him. If he comes back it should be on a team-friendly deal.

it's an embarrassing indictment of Caserio that he could only find one serviceable RB. That's the easiest position to fill.

I say only sign him if he takes a hometown discount. We're the hot commodity for free agents now, not the other way around.

We should've drafted Roschon Johnson last year in the 4th Round instead of Dylan Horton, who is already almost 24 and looks like a bust. Only 8 recorded Tackles this entire season with 0 QB Pressures and 0 Sacks. Terrible.

RoJo had nice season for the Bears and looks like a Steal. He's the big, strong work-horse RB with surprising burst that we need. Another blown draft pick imo, unless Horton suddenly has breakout season for us next year (doubtful). For shame.
