Felt the same way, thought it was a solid opening. Personally, I like them leaning into the supernatural aspect, at least from the trailer.....

i've tried to watch ep 1 twice and feel asleep both times. I'm going to try again before the end of the night see if I can get through Ep1. Hasn't hooked me yet but I"m not passing judgement.

Watched ep 1. Mixed feelings here. Definitely a big female empowerment vibe, lots of lesbian **** going on. On the other hand, living in the freezing cold produces badass people. Music was certainly skewed towards women.

I don't have a problem with all of that per se, as long as it's a good story, but don't beat me over the head with it for the sake of being female empowered. A good example of how that was over the top was the first Captain Marvel movie.

The plot is interesting, the supernatural stuff is a little bit of a departure from the earlier seasons. Season 1 alluded to it but never outright showed us anything supernatural. I hope this season brings it together. It would be cool if this went towards a subtle cosmic terror theme (Lovecraftian).

How come something can't be female power but 195 movies exactly like John Wick on Netflix is fine? What's the difference.

What was hinted at being super natural? The fast moving whatever in the foreground? I can’t think of anything.

    That.

The "she is awake/alive" quote from one of the scientists early.

The lady's dead son(?) pointing her the way to the frozen dead guys.

It may end up being something totally different, that's why I'll keep watching and find out eventually.

That's all I got. I liked the creepy dark vibe, much more like S1 than the last 2.

I'm going to rewatch ep 1 before the next one, I'm sure there's some stuff I missed. That was the great fun about S1...so much creepy weirdness and so many different theories about what the hell is going on.

the intro with the native hunter guy and all the animals running off the cliff was another hint of something supernatural happening.

Yes. Add that to our list of weirdness, please.

Animals do not naturally do that, btw. Ever.

the weirdest part for me was the sex scene where the state trooper lady was totally naked except for a sports bra. go full nude or dont even show it!

Ok...this is truth, forgot about that scene

No chick ever leaves her top on in that situation, and no guy ever tolerates that

How the **** was that “over the top”. You have serious issues, my friend. I watched the episode and none of my “sensitive man feelings” were tugged. It was just a regular detective show for a normal person without insecurities. Some of y’all are so soft. Jesus.
