Won't forget his draft reaction and how everybody outside of Houston was pulling for him to go to the Spurs.

    Buncha garbage like:
So glad he went to the Spurs, a classy well run org. They deserve it
Houston's shamelessly tanking, they'll ruin his development!

    5 wins later..
Oh, the Spurs are tank mode now. Their version of the process. This is all according to plan.

Basketball nerds love babying the Spurs. It baffles me.

    Seriously.
    Tanked to Get Duncan
Tanked to fire the coach he forced to tank

This is the first time Pop has had a truly young team with little to no veteran leadership
Duncan was easy going and he had Robinson in that locker room
Parker came into Duncan/Ginobili and Robinson I believe

The kids are kids teaching kids . . .Who speaks the wisdom when Pop aint around?

From what I've watched, they don't have too many guys who can or wants to drive & dish. When their guys get the ball in transition for example rather than wait for the 8 foot talk gazelle that is trailing the play for a highlight, they just put their head down and go right to the basket..

Also I don't know what this has to do with it but his minutes structure is so strange - he checks out and in a lot.... usually he starts a period, checks out, and then checks in and ends the same period rather than the usual pattern of 1 period -sub - half period

It makes it hard to watch because I have zero interest in watching the Spurs when he's not playing.

It actually would not have been fair to the league if he came here.

I do love Amen, love his potential, but he's no Wemby.

The defense for this team would be shut down. What's better is since Wemby can shoot the 3 you can play him with Sengun.

I Actually think we would be well on track for a dynasty. Dude is special. Plain and simple. Only thing stopping him is health

Too bad they lost that game lol.

I think it's crazy how much hype Wemby has when they only won 5 game so far lol. Even if their teams were tanking I don't think Lebron or TD will let their teams be this bad.

His late-game block on Giannis was even better.

I've never really cared about hype prospects or been particularly bothered by them. The NBA hype machine forcing me to hear about this ****er every day is too much even for me. I can't stand this dude anymore and how I have to ****ing hear about him dunking every single ****ing day.

Spurs figured out in the 2nd half yesterday if you throw it to the 7-5 guy with 18 foot arms up high near the basket, he's going to score it a lot.

Spurs finally ditched the position-less experiment. Opted for an actual table setter instead of just positional size guards. Sochan back as a power forward. Tre Jones as their main pg.

I know we're not professional genius coaches like Popovich but man, in Pop we Trust should take a hit with the whole "I'm going to play Zach Collins and Point Sochan for a full month after it obviously wasn't working and be historically bad" when the great mass of us Internet whiners said otherwise.

Every year that Wemby plays is precious and a chance to win games - it's too bad the Spurs treated this year like a joke

At this point it's clearly a tanking maneuver or Pops has gone senile. I'm assuming tanking since Pops put Tre Jones back as the starting PG around the same time Wemby had to be limited to only 25 minutes a night and sit out back to back games to help his ankle recover.

And the minutes restriction might be another tanking maneuver too given Wemby looks fine dunking and blocking people with his bum ankle. In fact his per 36 min averages has gone way up after they put the him on the 25 minute restriction. https://airalamo.com/posts/latest-v...nd-to-roy-contest-after-legendary-performance

I think the Spurs underestimated how good Wemby is. Imagine if they'd added players like FVV-Brooks- Green, they'd be . 500 too.

A tank this year might net them a player as young as Wemby - but he's not going to be on the same timeline because Wembanyama is too good already
