Texans to hire Bobby Slowik as OC

    Both Yates and Schaub are assistants with the Falcons. One could reason they'll be jobless. Yates makes more sense, though, as he has coached quarterbacks before, though Schaub makes sense from a personal standpoint.

    I'd be happy with either. Or Keenum.

    I wouldn't be too sad to see him leave. He cost us at least a couple games with overly conservative and predictable play calling. That said, we could do worse I think. Maybe he gets better and grows with the team if he stays on.

    Slowik is one of the better young OC in the league. He is a reason why CJ has been so good, along with natural processing ability. Him leaving would mean potentially a different playbook for CJ to learn. I don’t want our young QB having to learn a different system every season. Specially one that is extremely QB friendly

    With Washington hiring Peters from the 9ers and the potential to draft Maye, Slowik could be tempted. Good thing they’re in the NFC

    Don't think you have to worry about Texans having a different playbook if Slowik leaves. If he does leave, Johnson should take over and expand/continue to run similar system. Of course it'll be best if Slowik stays, but I'm not too worry about it....CJ has already proven himself.
