Jalen ceiling is the highest on the roster. He's one of those seeds you have to keep watering until it fully grows. He's our franchise player

Thing is all of the rebuild 1st rd draft picks kept are basically high ceiling level and they need watering, even Sengun though he was MVP in his so he has a slight bit of edge on the young core

The duo who took over that 3rd qtr against Pistons are the best chance at being Rockets co franchise players, with pivotal high level surrounding core cast like Bari/Take who are developing and showcasing all star mentality and excelling at being themselves on the floor

Amen/Cam are going to be legit as well getting more time and hopefully staying injury free

If each young core player reaches their ceiling collectively then the Rockets will for sure have a problem, being legit contenders in the near future

Idk about numero honcho but I absolutely believe Jalen can be what Fred is now. Except Jalen actually has scoring potential too. 3rd quarter from Pistons game was just the beginning.

When Eason and Brooks get back, I don't want Amen and Whitmore to lose their rotation minutes...

And l am so tired of Jalen overvaluing, concentrating om Green fans..
We are not Sengun only fans, but we believe this Green experimentation should end.
We do not hate Green, but he is not consistent.
This type of Jalen Green numero uno threads are becoming more than silly, becomes stoopid...

I have a simple solution: Do us all a favor and avoid the "stoopid" threads you don't like!!!

One more thing: Drop the "we" are, "we" do, "we" believe... baloney. You only speak for yourself; nobody else.

He's more like numero otto, it's beyond time for the Jalen delusion to end.

I find those Mexican games during the regular season also a welcomed surprise, may we see Green there.

His ceiling isn’t the highest on the roster anymore. He still has the potential to be an all star if he improves - but he has too many questions to have the highest upside on the roster.

He has at best mediocre instincts as a scorer. He doesn’t know what shots to take and which to pass up. He also is tentative, which usually is a bad thing for someone you view as a high level scoring guard.

He also has weak hands and struggles to finish with contact inside. His shooting after three years is extremely inconsistent. He current gets very few “cheap” baskets to fall back on when his shot is off.

It’s still possible that things click for him in the second half and he puts up 25 points a game, he is very gifted… but at this point it’s hard to argue that he has a higher upside than Sengun or Amen or Whitmore or Jabari.

Sengun is averaging 28/9/5 2 steals and 60% fg in the last 7 games. To think that anyone else on the team has the ceiling of what Sengun even already is today is being wilding optimistic. It is grossly improbable that we drafted multiple all nba caliber players besides the one that dropped into our laps considering Stone’s general incompetence.

I hope he becomes numero uno. Cuz that would mean we will win a ship because Sengun is gonna be a top 10 player at the minimum. So if Jalen is better we will have 2 top 10 players and win no problem.

Yup - what Sengun is doing from a raw numbers stand point, an efficiency stand point, and an improvement and skill stand point - it is hard to argue that Sengun doesn’t have the highest realistic ceiling.

Thompson and Whitmore both have very high ceilings, but they are a ways away from coming close to reaching them.

For as good as Sengun has been, he still has areas to improve - he can improve as an outside shooter or volume scorer - and both are likely to happen.

I don’t think he will ever be Jokic, just because very few are in recent NBA history - but Sengun is really good and is going to get better.

Also - the player that half the teams we play choose to compliment is Sengun - so the players on the court and coaches see his improvement and ability.

    I respect a good optimist.
