And Howard Stern is a racist, egotistical, controversial freak so I take what he says at face value.

Racist? I think not. Imus is a racist. However, back to my original thread.

I haven't seen any signs of racism from Stern. By the way, I don't know what Cookie Monster sounds like so I can't comment on that.

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C

It was funnier the first day they did it, though. That was a great show, with Mutombo, Kashruth Girl/Kashruth Girl Defender, and the dueling Edward G. Robinsons.

I think Howard Stern stole that idea from Dan Patrick. I heard it originally from his radio program long before Stern made reference to Mutombo sounding like cookie monster

I've seen Howard Stern make countless racist comments, especially about black people. I know people will say it was just for show, but when he was on Magic Johnson failed TV show he was making insulting comments. In fact if you go to this site: http://www.infoplease.com/ipea/A0154939.html

    The synopsis says:

Shock jock and author who takes pleasure and pride in offending as many as possible with racist and sexist jokes. He has cost his employer, Infinity Broadcasting, more than $2 million in fines for indecency. His books include his autobiography Private Parts (1993) and Miss America (1996).

i LOVE this, it's so typical -- "cost his employer more than $2 million in fines..."

no need to mention what he's made for infinity -- nah... why let facts get in the way and clog everything up?

That's pretty ironic coming from someone who quotes Barkley.

SPG, why is it that you post so infrequently? You're easily in my top 6 list.

    Top six what? [IMG]

Really, I just rarely think of posting. I mostly come by to read Rockets speculation and the occasional bit of insider information, and that's largely covered by people much more well-informed than I.

I'll defintely be here on draft day, though. It was great last year.
