Ammendola nearly kicked a 58-yard FG to tie Jacksonville, if that's not NFL caliber, I don't know what is.
He was 0 for 2 in that game missing both 50 plus fgs. He was also 1 for 2 in 40 plus fgs. Good dependable kicker but I had zero faith in him making a 50 plus yarder. If the kickers were switched in the jags and titans game, I believe texans beat jags and lose to titans.
Just think, if we had held on against Carolina and Atlanta and came to play against the Jets we'd be 11-3 and tied with the Ravens for the conference lead. Add the near miss against Jacksonville and we'd be in the conference lead. Sigh, oh well, no use in crying over spilled milk. Also, I wore my Luv Ya Blue UH Keenum jersey yesterday, starting while we were down 13-3. The game turned immediately after that too, as the D came up with an interception the next play. This was my way of supplying good juju and sticking it to Amy Adams-Strunk for having them wear Oiler blue in a game featuring a Houston team and for threatening to sue UH for wearing the Oiler inspired unis (for you UH fans, I can show you the site where I got my jersey). The jersey is officially good luck. So glad Case did it because of the Titans attitude toward UH wearing Oiler inspired colors. The only thing that would have made it more gratifying is if Tank Dell was playing and contributed as well.
I fully expected to lose yesterday. Thankfully the titans fans around me yesterday were actually objective and spoke highly of the Texans. I only encountered one jackass who said something to me but I didn't even realize he was talking to me until after like 45 seconds later!
