I like Momster. She has his boy's back but also has some tough love for him. And she's not some Only Fan of Tari. She's always rooting for the team and the teammates.
That's why I don't get all the hype. He and Fred have basically the same shooting efficiency, but Fred has a much better assist to TO ratio. Then, we have guys like Holiday, Tate, and Jeff Green who have even better shooting efficiency. I'm not for Jalen getting more minutes at all, and certainly not shooting more, or running the show. First he needs to become a better shooter. Second, he needs to get better at his assist to turnover ratio. I like Holiday, Tate, Green, and Eason coming in off the bench and doing their thing. We also have Amen and Cam who could use minutes.
No one said anything about anyone being a bust, the post is about the G league preparing a player the NBA. That infers their readiness relative to college and European players to be impactful sooner.
This is my first post that isn't pro-jalen. I am starting to lean the other way. Potential only goes so far without results.
Illegal screen stuff is the biggest BS in the game. It’s so subjective that refs just use it to control the game.
I feel you but Sengun is having an equally bad game. I can see Green being so much more successful if he was strong. He just seems too weak to utilize his quickness. Gets by his man but can’t use his body properly to get a clean shot at the rim. Also takes bad shots. But when he’s on it’s magic. Not many players in the league can go off for one game a season like Jalen has a couple times this year. Now it’s all about consistency and improvement in all the other areas. I’ve seen tremendous effort and improvement defensively, even if he’s still a negative defensively. But the ability to explode and rise up and shoot over anyone at a high clip (again, when he’s on its Tmac-v-Spurs-esque). still early in the season but we need to see a leap by all star break return to warrant commitment imo.
