I don't think anyone really overrated FVV, most people knew we had to overpay to get him, most people were not that excited by the deal.

FVV is playing fine but I do think he needs to get more aggressive when it looks like the offense starts to slog down. I think he's been a good pickup overall though, I just wish he could pick up the scoring when it looks like we can't score.

 

We were not hustling but Tari needs to start and Jalen needs to play less and more Cam

Also, hustling doesn't equal good or bad defense, in fact, hustling is pretty irrelevant when it comes to the quality of a players defense. You can be a hustle player and still play poor defense.

 

No one could finish around the rim tonight. Not Sengun and not Jalen. Some pretty big defensive lapses as well team-wide. The worst was the turnovers. Plus the Lakers out hustled us. That’s pretty much the game summary.

Jalen is going to get the BAG this summer …for what? Cam needs to play more and Tari needs to start

 

It is honestly getting ridiculous.

The dude is a good player, but he clearly has limited athletic ability, poor conditioning and simply cannot keep up defensively.

Again, like I said early in the season, if you want Alpe to be the man on this team, then you have to hope and pray that Jalen and Jabari become as good as they can be, because Alpe alone is not good enough, FVV does not care, and Dillion Brooks is just dumb.

Otherwise, we will be trading Alpe and starting over. UNLESS Cam Whitmore becomes the next Tyrese Haliburton or something.
