When I graduated High Scool, I lived in League City. I went to San Jac Central before transferring to my 4 year school.

Red Bluff and me were a bad mix.

I got something like 10 tickets in two years. I was close to having my TXDL revoked.

Rode a bicycle at 4 year college and cleaned up my record. Haven't had one since.

    Just watch yourself.....

Both times I just parked downtown, went to work, went back to the car and BAM!, A boot was on it. And they'll make $100 into $500 to get that boot off, and you have no choice but to pay the fine.

I got one parking ticket when I came back to campus at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) for a talk with the math department on some math topic (I can't even remember what it was about). I was in grad school, and I told the math department about it and they said don't worry about it as they would take care of it.

Meanwhile, I have gotten pulled over at least 25 times in my life since driving in 1989 - I really have lost count. Out of all those times, I have only gotten 3 tickets. I consider it a talent.:p

Or you could do what Homer Simpson did when that happened to him in New York...drive with the boot on.

    In 28 years of driving:

    3 Moving Violation tickets -
1 was a careless and imprudent driving - aka - exhibition driving. Hey when you own a hot 69 SS/RS Camaro in HS it's lucky that that's all that I got.
1 was running a stop sign. More of a didn't come to a complete stop at 4 in the morning - he had his lights out at the end of the street.
    1 was a speeding ticket in Umble - excuse me Humble, TX - 35 in a 25.

    Parking tickets:
If you count college parking tickets (I still owe Iowa State $425 for my first year - I have no idea how many that translates to). 1 UofH. Otherwise only, 1 city.

    No tows.

That stuck? 1 in 16+ years (that 1 that stuck happened over 18 months ago.)

Probably 3 that were warnings, and about 4 (including fender benders) that I defensive driving coursed away.

btw- all of the warnings and tickets for speeding were WHILE using a detector.

been driving for like a year so tickets :D I don't know if los angeles is known for their ****ed up drivers, but pretty much everyone aren't
"good" drivers. I go like 45 on 40mph zone and they tailgate my like hell. I go like 30 in a school zone (25mph) and they do the same. I don't want no tickets :(
And on the freeways i don't even think people care about max limits. I had to go 75mph on the freeway just to stay with the flow.

    Been driving since 1970.

    Got speeding tickets in 1971, 1985, 1998, 2000 and in 2004.

The last one was the worst (going 83 in a 65 speeding down a mountainside in Virgina at night with a patrolman waiting for me at the bottom of the hill around the curve. I got to enjoy an ENTIRE Saturday in Galax, Virginia at the Driver Improvement Program.... $460 later.

When I was in ATL at a strip joint with some friends, they put a boot on the car of one of the buddies I was with. One of the Marines with us was a welder and he had his rig in his truck. He cut the boot off the car without any damage. Bet that was a surprise when they came back and found their boot cut in half!

Pulled over three times, never gotten a speeding ticket. So far.

Parking tickets (from universities), on the other hand... too many to count. :(

3 traffic tickets: 2 speeding (1 on Gessner; 1 on the beltway (I PAY TO SPEED, DAMNIT, LET ME SPEED!); 1 rolling through a stop sign (Sugar Land).

1 parking ticket that set me back $300...I hate UT police/parking and transportation.

I'm 22 now, and I got a car when I was 17, so over the past 5 years,

    On my driving record: none.
Times I've been pulled over and got away with speeding: 3
Tickets I've taken defensive driving for: 4
Tickets I've gotten since April 2003: none.

I drive about 30K miles every year and have been for the last 8 years. I used to get 1-2 tickets a year, because i am a speeder. However, after being on the road so much, I've learned when to and when not to and where and where not to speed. Haven't received a ticket in about 5 years.

I've actually never used attorneys either. I was lucky enough for a while not to get tickets in the same county. That was a little loophole in the whole "can't take defensive driving more than one time a year" thing. Not sure if that would work these days, though.

As far as I know, it still works. Be happy you didn't grow up when I did, where you could only take DD once every two years.
