Good lord you guys are so ridiculous so fast. He’s arguably the #1 pass protector in the league and we have a rookie franchise qb on a rookie contract. I have no doubt he is still worth at least a first but I wouldn’t trade him, he’s crucial to Stroud right now and we can afford him during that rookie contract.
It’s literally one bad game, he’s been amazing otherwise. If Stroud has a 10/35 120 0 TD 2 INT game are we going to say trade him as well??? Goodness guys.

I thought the same so I went and checked and was surprised by the stats.
We are actually slightly better in the 1st half.
    1st half we average - 11.8 points
    2nd half we average - 11.7 points

LOL. Im wrong about players playing for BoB? His record says otherwise. Don’t care, he is no longer the coach.

And the **** you said about Stroud is all over this forum. Everyone knows it. You have been sucking on Mayo Boy and Drake Maye’s cocks for over a year. You never liked Stroud and still don’t. You would trade Maye and Maye for Stroud if you could.

Shut the **** up teapot boy.

You’re too stupid to converse with honestly. And you’re wrong, you’re believing your own lies you pathetic sack of ****.

Im on record saying I wouldn’t trade Stroud for Maye or Williams. But keep believing your own lies.

listening to sportsradio 790 for the first time in a long time and im disappointed by the talking heads, " saying one thing we will not allow is for you to critisize the refs". Lol they are actually blaming cj stroud and the texans coaching for the loss yesterday. These are the same clowns that ran deshaun watson outta here with that kind of unesseccary criticism. Why cant we call out the refs, why should we callers who call in be forced to blame a qb who actually played better than the opposing qb. A Poster already broke it down here for us, cj stroud had a bunch of potential scoring points taken away from him. You should call it out

sorry but he is shilling for the NFL at this point, the refs defintely cost us that game. The missed sideline tank dell catch probably gets us 7 before halftime. The incorrectly called procedure play is probably an easy 3. The 2x 3rd down bailout flags that led to a jags td instead of what should have been a jags fg. its too many

But that would favor the majority of gamblers who strictly pick favorites. Casinos lose money only when heavy late action comes in on an unexpected result (of which choosing an underdog always seems to be), which forces them to move the line in order to mitigate some of that potential loss.

If favorites win the majority of the games that week, casinos probably don't end up profiting. They won't be desperate as these things tend to break even. Also I would presume there was heavy action on Detroit to cover... along with likely having them paired in a bunch of parlays, and they fell very flat.

There's also been more games this year that feature very small spreads, indicating a **** ton of mediocre parity in the NFL. Vegas breaks even on those essential "pick em" games.

I seriously can't believe how many Jags fans I'm seeing saying the Jags dominated the game and should have won by more. Also that Lawrence outplayed C.J. It blows my mind that they are that delusional.

NFL knew what they were doing -

Clay Martin is calling 59% of his overall penalties on the home team through 11 weeks of the season

In somewhat of an anomaly, Clay Martin is 7-2 Over the total this season, the best over record of any referee
Home teams are 37-46-1 ATS (45%) in Clay Martin’s career
In divisional games, home teams are just 10-15 ATS (40%) with Clay Martin officiating
The Jaguars don’t have a great record with any particular referee. If there is one that they have fared well with, it’s Clay Martin. The Jaguars are 5-1-1 ATS in games with Martin, including a win and cover at the Colts in Week 1 of the 2023 season. In fact, this current core group of Jaguars is 3-0 on the moneyline and ATS with Clay Martin. All three wins were divisional games with two of them on the road

Texans two stops on third down that resulted in 1st and goal on phantom flags. Would have been two field goals for Mcmanus.
    (8 point swing)
Tank Dell shift penalty where ball would have been down on the Jags 25
    (3 point swing at worst)
Tank Dell catch that was clearly a catch on replay/sideline judge closest waved off by ref who was 25 yards away. Result was 4th down and a 54 yarder that was missed. Had it been called correctly, They would have been down at the 12 it would have been a 30 yard field goal had the Texans not moved the ball another yard.
    (3 point swing)

Oh and this isn't talked about enough.

Forward momentum had him crossing the 39 yard line.

Spotted a whole half yard/to a yard behind Nico's forward progress. By the time they snapped the kick, they snapped from the 40.......That costs the Texans a field goal. Thats how close the kick was.
    (3 point swing)

Game of inches, but these little mistakes are big and these refs 100% cost the Texans. I am not one to usually 'b****" about refs as its just a waste of energy. But an absolute travesty took place yesterday.

(17 swing points dictated by NFL refs yesterday against Houston)
(7 points against the Jaguars due to the non call on the interception)

    10 points against the Texans.

Fans have a right to "b****" today....

Gonna have to protect C.J. at all costs next week. Broncos are going to try to cripple him.

So impressed with CJ, he was under a ton of heat yesterday and was magnificent for the most part dodging it and making plays in and out of the pocket. He can convert any 3rd down. I have to pinch myself that we get to see his career unfold.

It doesn't look like we are having the same success in protection that we were earlier in the season (sans Baltimore) so hopefully we can work on that and improve it a bit. If we do I feel like the offense is due for another monster performance. Hopefully a few.

Pass rush was bad yesterday but it has been fairly solid most of the season so I still feel like we are ok there.

We will be in the thick of the WC hunt the rest of the way and I like our chances. Would not rule out the division but that is going to be tough. Pretty sure CJ is going to win a lot of division titles in the coming years.
