That was a while ago. So it is no big deal. And yes, I was a huge grizzlies fan back in the day (when the grizzlies had Rudy Gay, on and up to, gritngrind) after grit and grind, with the new grizz, I am more of a casual fan. I think JJJ is too lazy and he can get punked a lot. Which he does. I don’t like the fact that the grizzlies don’t have one big other than Steven Adams who when he gets hurt this team is terrible. I think that Desmond bane is overrated. I mean he is a good player, but he does not have that Jimmy Butler in him. And Ja Morant (when he first came into the league) was fearless. Now I think he is plays a lot less with an edge.

But even if I was butt hurt by the grizzlies (which I am not) dude this team has:

    Steven Adams
    Ja Morant
    Brandon Clarke
    Luke Kennard
    Xaiver Tillman
    Marcus Smart

All out. That is 3 starters and 3 key bench players. This team is playing with gleague level players at this point.

They had one of their best years with Morant suspended and out ....last year.....haha but were you here last year?

Dillon decided to punch everyone in their groin and go beserk with trash talking.

I don’t think that had one of their best years. The team relies a lot of defensive rebounding and if it can not get boards, they can’t run, which is a problem. Steven Adams missed the playoffs last year which effectively ended the season. Brooks was the one player I liked on that team.

Ah yeah, I was referring to the regular season record ....it was 50+ for a team that had major stars missing.

They never had 58 or 60 if I am being correct. 56 is franchise history, I see.

Yeah we will never get another Zach and Marc. Brothers from another mother. You didn’t fvck with that team. Plus Tony Allen and Mike. Man I loved that team so much. They were always the underdogs and they a lot of times won despite the huge underdogs that they were.

My bad, that 56 W team had Tayshaun Prince and Marrese Speights and Mike was with the Heat?

No Mike has never played for the heat. He was the last remaining player in the gng era to get traded to Utah.

The grizzlies did have tayshaun and speights though. Not sure when they were on the team. Might have been the 56 win season. The grizzlies traded Rudy Gay in the middle of the season and it was a big deal. That was the year when teams stopped guarding Tony and just packed the paint.

Oh yeah I guess. The best team the grizzlies had (other than that 56 team, which we will never know what would have happened since they traded Rudy) was the 55 team season. That was probably the grizzlies year, although Mike had a freak collision with Dame Lillard and broke his face. Had that not happened I truly believe the grizzlies would have gotten a championship.

Also, if we are going back through grizzlies history, Rudy Gay was never the same player after his shoulder injury that cost him a season. The guy at one point and time was one of the clutchest players of all time. Which was what lead me to make that infamous thread about Rudy Gay is about to show the world ….
But unfortunately the grizzlies had a lot of bad luck. Not to mention the commissioner suspending Zach Randolph for game 7 when he “elbowed” Steven Adams. The commissioner didn’t want okc to lose that year.

    17-4

Never would I have thought they started this season that way although I had them very high after they dominated the Abu Dhabi Games.
