I remember watching that live and I knew our coaching staff had to go, they were absolutely the worst coaches I ever saw.
They were f'ing crying for KPJ on live TV, yet here the interview spoke volumes about how much they hated Sengun.
the question still remains though: why? And posters here, especially haters and kpj Stans were arguing there wa nothing going on. They chose to ignore the obvious. Haters gonna hate.
It's incredible they defend it at all, Bruno is maybe at best 3rd string center in the league, yet somehow the guy getting Jokic comparisons had to sit behind him? I don't understand their reasoning at all, it's irrational thinking.
Yeah, this is something really unfathomable. If you assume that Stone, Silas, and at least some of the coaching staff are rational people, then the only rational explanation for their intentional holding back Sengun was that they knew Sengun was too good for the tanking purpose. Some people have been making some excuses like Sengun was bad on defense, making too many mistakes, just not ready, etc. etc. But most of those reasons could apply to KPJ and Green. In fact, if Sengun was really that bad, they should play him MORE for the sake of tanking.
@cmoak1982 @myapk In case you are still confused, here you go. This is the bullshit Rockets fans have to deal with.
I don’t condone this type of stuff. I don’t think Silas was a bad guy, I think he was a terrible coach
The only ones I worry about are Porz bc that mofo is moving all over the three pt line and Emmbid because he draws 10 FTs just by looking his way. Other than that, Alpi will be unbeatabol. Good thing, we will worry about those 2 in the Finals. wait, wuuut.
Porzingis not a big deal but Embiid is a problem for every center in the league. Probably toughest matchup.
I do not agree he was a good guy. Good guys do not marginalize the best player on their team. That being said I do not condone what the other guy said either. He was an absolutely terrible coach and bad guy but I do not think it had anything to do with race. I think he only knew how to coach one type of system. He only knew how to coach a system with a ball dominant player. He tried really hard to turn the woman beater into Harden/Luka. To do that he had to keep "pushing the beach ball under the water" however that "beachball" kept rising up over and over again even though he did everything in his power to marginalize him at every step (other than a few game stretch last January when KPJ was out).
It happened because of SL when Bruno played out of his mind and Sengun was still getting used to NBA and played bad. You know Harden started by coming of the bench? It's not a big deal I dunno why people get hung about it esp when it never even happened. If Sengun was playing like this that time obviously nobody would say Bruno should start over him. And Bruno didn't even start Sengun started all the time anyway so I dunno what people are b****ing about.
Silas only got a job because of his dad. Nepotism at its finest. It's time for us to build a statue of the Boston executive's wife a statue outside of TC.
Jokic made that last minute three from a laspe by Sengun. They switched the assignment to green for the last play. Nothing you can't teach though.
