Mahomes was only a rookie for 1 of those 8 games. So he had a whole year advantage to learn and observe.

Stroud is doing it as a starter from day 1.

Mahomes sat a year. He was also throwing the ball to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. No disrespect to our receiving corps, but Mahomes had it easy.

The Texans will build around him. Most important position on the field, but not the only. Improve the offensive line, receivers, running backs, and the defense and you are competitive in the playoffs. May take a few years, may not. I think he is ahead of Mahomes at this stage, but doesn't have that kind of talent around him.

Stroud has gotten Monday night countdown, college game day, etc.

He is getting a ton more pub than Watson ever did.

NFL is trying to anoint our young King.

    Cool to watch.

Man...if CJ has Hill as a receiver...I'm hoping Tank can be that guy. Not a pure burner, but the ability to run a clean route and is fast enough who gets open consistently (and he does get open). Collins can be that big receiver for CJ...and at this point re-sign Schultz.

It's obvious at this point that Nick was the one spreading rumors about C.J before the draft. This was a masterclass in media manipulation by Nick

    Ahem...

This last game was the "leap". Unbelievably, it is not the apex, for that is yet to come. It's difficult to process, but look at his 2nd half numbers, then extrapolate that into a full game. People... we have a full blown monster on our hands that is not afraid of the moment. He WANTS that moment.

This was the coming out game. The full blown "I'm here, let's get the party started game" is yet to come, unbelievably, because the OC has yet to fully give him the keys. This is... the beginning. CJ is about to set the league on fire.

There are some burners in the '24 draft.
We probably miss out on MHJ but the other OS receiver is a genuine 4:32 40 guy and already has chemistry with Stroud and is a clean, savvy route runner with good hands.
We could trade back into the mid 20's and pick him up.

I said this in another thread: winning makes it different. Winning *that* way, specifically. Watson was 3-3, and lost his higher profile match-ups. Not on him but they just don't cover losses in the same way they do wins. Never have/never will.

You really felt the chemistry when it was Case yelling and pointing at the clipboard directed at Stroud. Stroud then gave this reaction:

Really need Case to coach here after he hangs it up.

    Stroud is so good...

    You: "How good is he?"

Stroud is so good, Quarterback School tweeted out last night that the Coleridge Bernard video was out but you had to go to Patreon to view it $.

CJ is definitely the media darling! If we can finish the season strong we are going to have several prime time games next year.
