Can't we talk about this last game first for a minute?

This doesn't replace the TB thread. It just gives us a place when we move on to discuss things like injury status and player availability verses the Bengals.

Going to be a tough one next week. Defense is legit and Burrow is doing well. Maybe he'll have finger infection and miss the game. Slowik has his work cut out for him next week...and hopefully defense gets better.

In the mean time, I'm just going to enjoy the videos the rest of this week.

It might be ugly next Sunday, but I am going to relish this win up until kickoff next week...............man it feels good to win a close game, we normally end up on the wrong side of these. Injuries, Injuries and more injuries are just killing me.....................just once I wish we could have 98% of all starters actually start

I'm not sure we do better with all the starters back until they've played together for a few weeks.

This reminds me of a Dumb and Dumber line. "So you're telling me there 's a chance"

I think it’s too late to flex it. Has to be at least 10 days notice I believe.

    edit: it’s 12 days

How far in advance can the NFL flex a game?
For Sunday Night Football games from Weeks 5-13, the league must provide 12 days notice before flexing. That time period is reduced to six days for Sunday Night Football games from Weeks 14-17.

It's not a terribly long list - and, honestly, most of the "biggest games in franchise history" match-ups wound up not really mattering, either because the Texan lost the game or their season ended prematurely. But this does feel like a contender. On the road, against an excellent/hot team; a win solidifies you as a genuine playoff contender...

I can only think of two "bigger" games: @ Denver (Manning) in '11 or '12 where Schaub was unbelievable and the letterman jacket MNF game in NE. I'm sure there are others - but those two jumped to mind. I know they beat Cincinnati in '11 to clinch playoffs - but that Bengals team wasn't very good.

And what makes this game big is the measuring stick component: how good is this team? We'll get a pretty good idea Sunday.

@Castor27 Sir, I want to start this off by saying you are extremely appreciated in the clutchfans community.

BUTTTT the Texans are 3-0 when you don't put up the game thread for the week.

You know what to do brother!

Zero. NFL has to give 12 days notice for SNF flexes.
