So take this with a grain of salt: Many of these 72 (if true) = Hamas.
Hamas is a despicable terrorist organization. IDF always surpasses Hamas in that category. I don't support either of them.

What Blinken fails to consider is that we in the US have been living with internal mass shootings for decades.
The only change from the Las Vegas Shooting was a ban in bump stocks (maybe?) despite 867 casualties at the concert.
We had mass shootings at elementary schools, churches, synagogues, even a freaking Garlic festival. We have been conditioned to accept it as a cost of doing business in society. We did not respond by sieging a city or blowing up hospitals or infrastructure when it was a mass shooting related to inner city gang violence. Besides complain and offer thoughts and prayers, we collectively have done nothing.

it’s hard for unaffected observers (majority of people worldwide) to remain angry at the initial shocking and brutal raid while seeing footage of city blocks being leveled or reading reports of hospitals being destroyed or that almost a million uninvolved Gazans have no access to clean water or electric. It’s shocking that the memory is “receding” but it’s also par for humanity.

Blinken says ‘shocking’ that brutality of Hamas massacres has receded in memories of many

the far left are literally the dumbest of the dumb

religious zealots, specifically Islamists, are more dangerous, in my opinion, but the far left are their enablers, and they are just too uneducated and naive to see that those they think they are "protecting from discrimination" believe more strongly in discrimination than anyone

What if I told you we in the west empower Islamsists and Fascists because they’re explicitly vanguards against leftism? The two ideologies despite having small shared aims are wholly incompatible. Islamists will kill leftists. Leftists will imprison Islamists.

We backed the Salafi Saudis against the Socialist Pan Arabs. We backed the Taliban against the Soviets.

Even today, we (well France) supports Al Qaeda against the Russian juntas in West Africa.

I absolutely do not support the IDF intentionally targeting hospitals and refugee camps; those actions are war crimes.

The typical ‘you are either with me or with them’ silliness lol…

Such a statement and mindset illustrate blind adherence, leaving no room for criticizing wrong and harmful actions. This kind of uncritical support enables governments to make bad (and evil) decisions, ultimately causing more problems than they solve.

The U.S. made that mindset mistake in leading to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and its disastrous consequences afterward. Israel, under its current political leadership, seems to be heading down a similar, if not worse, path.

Fortunately, many Israelis are against the political leadership of their country. Unfortunately, they may not have the power to change leadership before too much harm is done.

I don’t support the IDF any more than I support the French, German, or Turkish armed forces.
I support the US armed forces, because I am American. It’s not that hard.

Tax wise, I support the IDF. But I am in favor of scrapping the law mandating Israel be given top military technology automatically if we make deals elsewhere in the region.

Tax-wise, I want to see conditional support. Defense (e.g., Iron Dome) can be unconditional. Offense needs to adhere to the Geneva Convention.

They are targeting Hamas. That's not a war crime at all.

The war crime is that Hamas uses hospitals as their base from which they fire thousands of rockets at Israel, and build their military headquarters under hospitals.

If someone holds a baby to shield themselves and is firing a gun at you, the only way for you not to die is to fire back.

That's the situation Israel is in.

That's all part of Hamas' plan. If you had paid attention you would have heard the son of one of Hamas' founders ("the green prince") talking about this. But either you didn't bother to listen or you ignore it because it doesn't confirm your pre-conceived narrative.

You are falling for Hamas terrorist propaganda, hook, line and sinker.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you (like many) are naive, rather than evil.

If you do not support the mass murder of Palestinian children with bombs, you're an evil person!!!!!!

These folks actually think they can strong arm people into taking a radical right wing position like this lol.

They knowingly targeted a UN-created refugee camp, killing a bunch of civilians (50?) to get to a few or just 1 Hamas guy. That's pretty much the definition of a war crime under the Geneva Convention.

Hard and tough, doesn't excuse disproportional killing of civilians, a war crime.

If a guy is holding 50 babies and is firing rockets at you (and missing most of the time), you don't fire a rocket and take out all 50 babies with that guy. If you do, you have already lost without realizing it. You created more of the guys that will continue to fire at you.

I’m listening to Zelensky on Meet the Press and he’s blaming Russia for the rise of antisemitism and exploiting the situation in the Middle East.
