    Lot to unpack here.

But lets be honest. Stroud is saying this offense needs to stop waiting until 3rd down to get chunks.

He wants the aggression early and often.

He's saying what I'm thinking in a different way. I'm saying the focus was on fixing our weaknesses rather than exploiting our strengths. You do both, but not to the point of putting us in a position to lose.

watching yesterday's game was so frustrating. CJ looked like a different QB yesterday and the constant run plays was down right pitiful. Carolina, if I'm not mistaken, has a really good run defense. So why force the run? The pass can always set up the run and vice versa. The lack of attempts down the field made the run even worse IMO. Let's hope they get back to what was making CJ successful.

I don’t disagree that we should have passed more to help set up the run. But the Carolina run defense is 31st in the league.. it’s amazing we were still that bad against them.. truly pitiful offensive game all around. Either switch up the zone blocking scheme to something your players can actually do, or trade your players to acquire ones that can do what you’re asking

Remember when Jimmy Garoppolo was an option?

I saw his disappointment with the play calling Sunday. It was the first chink in the armor I’ve seen in terms of professionalism. I don’t blame him at all and know that he and the OC will have constructive conversations about it. This guy is so mature and is a football savant. Slovak better get more flexible quick or he will be gone. Almost every time Stroud lines up over center it’s a run. That has to change. I, also, think that Demeco is a bit to blame as he really wants a balanced attack. Both him and OC are rookies in their jobs and I hope and believe they will become more flexible. They have to be able to adjust.

    Finally someone else sees it.

Slowik loves to run from under center, but rarely passes from it.

In 2nd and long when he could disguise the PA, he just goes from Shotgun sets.

I get that they are trying to build a game plan and maybe they are building a data set for the whole season instead of a shorter timeframe but I have my doubts.

CJ needs to be throwing the ball early and often in downs. He takes care of the ball in 3rd down situations. Make it easy on him and let him cook when the defense isn't expecting it.

Going to leave this here for the haters.

As I mentioned and for people trying to say CJ played bad.

I never thought he did, and neither did QB School(best QB content on the web).

High level throw after high level throw.

The last throw to Tank... insane.

Bobby Slowik is tasked with coaching a rookie QB with perhaps the lowest ranked set of skill position players in the league. The expectations should be very low.

Defenses are keying on the middle of the field. He didnt play bad at all since there was really nothing he could do when the offense had become predictable on early downs and the defense was not going to allow any action between the hash marks. Slowik didnt offer much in terms of adjusting to that. Im looking forward to this game to see how they react and what they install to counter what defenses are doing.

Sad part is that its become so noticeable that I'd bet game theory has the defense ready for the early pass now.

First play should be hard play action for a homerun attempt.
