    Fully agree!
Not only do we need to pour money into mental healthcare access I wish we would revoke legal firearm use from anyone who has sought psychiatric help or is prescribed psychotropic medication. They should all be in a national database and vetted for gun purchases, and forced to turn them in. Most Vets diagnosed with PTSD can own firearms as well.

The mass sales of these type weapons makes it so much easier for them to get in the hands of criminals, thieves, cartel, and people with mental issues on the black market.

Come on guys, it's too soon to start blaming. The people of Maine just need thoughts and prayers right now.

Gee, if only there was still the Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illness to purchase guns...

Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks for People With Mental Illnesses
The new law nullifies an Obama-backed rule that added people with mental illnesses to the national background check database.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of innocent bowling alley patrons

That's a good way to deter people from seeking mental health care.

As always, 2A supporters don't really care the small odds of you/myself being a victim of a mass shooting if it means them keeping their toys. It's the truth. I've said it before and I'll say it again, let's get abolish 2A, that's the only way to fix our gun issue in America. Stop attempting to be pragmatic about it and play nice with the supporters, the real solution is to abolish 2A. Anything else, is just a stopgap measure.

If you have mental issues you shouldn't own a firearm. It's actually a federal law If you're involuntarily committed, you're prohibited from buying or possessing firearms. Naturally the Government dropped the ball.

That's stupid. It won't stop criminals, rapists, home invasions, murders. Abolish semi auto long rifles I 100% agree but taking away the ability for people defend themselves and their home is insane.

I pray that people stop electing politicians who do nothing with the power they've been given to minimize the risks of gun violence and mass shootings. Use those brains God gave you.
