We should had just gave the max to Harden and not sign FVV.

 

Tate is still our best player

 

I was about to say this in the Harden thread. If he were open to being a facilitator instead of the go-to guy then he would have made a big difference on this team. Thing is though, the Rockets don't have a go-to player they can rely on. Could have had Harden without giving up any assets. I don't see Green becoming a franchise player and FVV is just too small. If they're going to struggle beating teams like Orlando then this is going to be a rough season.

We are so intimidated by Orlando’s pressure. Jalen still just looks really fast but no brains.

 

That was in regard to that specific play. Jalen missed an easy layup and Sengun couldn't get a rebound he should've gotten.

I’m jesting of course but the guy was supposed to be an elite defender and elite shooter coming out of college, yet he’s been awful at both.

 

Yeah you don't want this to be a thing every night but good teams recognize the hot hand and feed it. He's 2 for 2, small sample size, but any random guy can go off on a random NBA night as Corey Brewer would sometimes prove.

If he's feeling it tonight I'd like to see him get more shots.

 

True, that is why I was cautious giving him 40 million but people kept on saying ......we have to give it to somebody.

 

If Amen is going to be given that much time in the third just make him a cutter to the basket. No ball handling just motion and rim attack.

 

Clutch City Dancer Allie still looks good.

 

I'm glad they didn't trade away Tate. Tate is always ready when the coach calls his name. Jabari and Sengun are not a good fit at all, maybe Ime should start Tari instead.

Yup. Amen, Jalen, etc. struggling against that pressure. Half the time, most of the younger players looked lost on offense out there, but made their fair share of unforced errors, too. Hopefully somebody figures it out at halftime or we could get blown out.

 

Only early but.....................Sengun and VanVleet clash in playing styles I think. VanVleet's height might be a problem in this system

 

It suck’s that Alpi’s spot is the one they are going to try and replace first because of his defensive liabilities but the rest of the guys will get passes when they aren’t close to the player he is on the offensive side of the ball. His offense is the only elite trait I see in any of the young guys so far.

 

I don't think anyone thought FVV would actually be better on the court than Harden, even the people that didn't want him wasn't making that argument.

The argument against Harden has been his attitude. Harden is like 10x better than FVV right now though lol no question about that. Apparently, reportedly, he said something that was a red flag for the organization though....
