You literally said you don’t know much about him last year and you needed to watch tape on him. And kid, you don’t know anything lol. You might be the dumbest poster who thinks they actually know sport on this forum. Your hate of Maye is getting borderline suspect. The dude is arguably the best QB in this draft.
Big dawg. Refrain from anointing QB's before it gets you in to more trouble on here. I do kid though. I feel that Maye is QB1 in this draft as well.
Caleb continues to struggle within structure, Drake lost to arguably the worst power 5 team, neither has looked all that great this season.
Some updated stats for Caleb after last night. Admittedly I was all for us waiting and man am I glad we both didn't and CJ is showing so well thus far. Caleb Williams Personal Stats vs Top 25 Defenses : 51% completion, 6/6 TD/INT, 172 YPG Team Record vs. Top 25 Opponents : 4-7
I never anointed Levis, that was something you guys ran with. And to be clear, my first option was no QB at all last year. Stroud is making me eat those words so far, but I feel like Maye is a more athletic version of Stroud
I seriously believe we should strongly consider trading our higher draft picks, Cleveland’s and our 2nd, for win now youngish players. I would dangle those two picks together or separately and see what someone would offer. A schedule this soft will only come around every 3 or 4 years and only if you are losing. Even with no trades, we are at worst a 8-9 team. Another big time target for Stroud and a DJ Reader like tackle and we are a lock for the playoffs.
In reference to Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. Page 12 of QB or NOT QB. That is where I start talking bout CJ.
The young players would have to be in their 2nd or 3rd year of their rookie deal otherwise it's just bad business and a waste of resources. Carolina Chicago Arizona Denver Rams Are the only teams I can see giving up some of their only good young players.
He seems to have the same problem as Caleb, sucks against good defenses. LOL. This is the problem with waiting for a QB in the next draft. Those shiny prospects start to show flaws as more and more attention is paid to them. Bird in the Hand...
Williams and Maye have been the talk of the town in the college football scene, both have been touted as phenomenal prospects as we entered the season. As much as their games are filled with talent and potential they have been and will continue to be dissected to the nth degree during this season. Williams - with his improvisational skills, has drawn comparisons to Mahomes. Maye's accurate throws and pocket passer abilities are noteworthy. It’s important to remember we are not seeking perfection but rather, understanding what has worked and what hasn't at the college level. Both players have shown flashes of brilliance, yet like every player, they have areas that need improvement. Williams may face challenges if teams strategize to limit his strengths and force him to play within a structured environment. Maye could focus on refining areas such as footwork and more of a body of work. As for us I am fortunate we have CJ Stroud. While the season unfolds and as scouts continue to scrutinize Williams and Maye. Stroud's presence offers a solid foundation and an exciting future for the Texans. Let's enjoy the journey and appreciate their current skills, while anticipating the players they could become. At the end of the day football is as much about potential as it is about seeing them where we are with the prospects today.
Would LOVE it if the actual draft went down like this! Would be extremely happy with any of.... (in order of preference) Laiatu Latu - edge Jer’Zhan Newton - dt Leonard Taylor - dt Rome Odunze - wr
My dream off season would go something like this 1. Newton DT 2. Xavier Legette WR 3. Cade Stover TE 4. Rocket Sanders 5. Best LB available Sign in FA DT Wilkins Edge Hunter
His defense isn’t the reason for 54% completion nor the 172 passing yards a game. It isn’t all on him but he’s been a big part of their losses.

Seattle Seahawks (4-2): Brandon Dorlus, EDGE, Oregon 23. Houston Texans (via 4-2 CLE): Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State The Texans dealt away their own first-rounder but have Cleveland's pick as part of the Deshaun Watson trade. Some NFL teams like to pair young passers with receivers whom they played with in college. Jaylen Waddle joined Tua Tagovailoa in Miami. Ja'Marr Chase picked up where he left off with Joe Burrow in Cincinnati. So let's have Houston continue the trend with Egbuka -- C.J. Stroud's former teammate at Ohio State -- improving the Texans' wide receiver group. He has battled through a nagging leg injury this season, but when healthy, he's a savvy route runner who understands how to get open, averaging 15.7 yards per catch over his career.
