My guess is Dusty's thinking was he doesn't trust another reliever to come in in case Maton let a few on. With Hunter or JP, you want them starting a fresh inning rather than with runners on base. Not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just guessing that was his thinking.
Javier didn't even last one inning. Playoff Javier is apparently road-only. I won't say anything too negative about this game's outcome.
I agree I don't mind Brown here but you really should try to steal another inning with Maton considering Javier didn't last a inning.
