Man the hate for this dude was uncalled for from everything I'm saying. Him and FVV both look like fantastic veteran mentors for our kids. Really liking what I'm seeing and hearing from Dillon so far, he seems excited about the prospect. Much better than the attitude we saw from EG towards the end.

I don’t mind the bricks - most of his shots were open: just cut out the contested ones. But I do kind his turnovers. They looked really sloppy - I hope he cleans it up for the regular season.

When he is shooting, his stance is like that of a dog pissing......

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/brookdi01.html#projection

These projections are pretty wild. 17 fga? Almost 7 3's a game? 18ppg?

I think he's done pretty much what we've hoped he would do. He's played defense and taken the shots within the offense. I don't think any of those projections are remotely accurate. I think he's willing to sacrifice to win and he showed it in Canada and this preseason.

We overpaid for him big time, he is a bit player, a last starter, defensive guy off the bench - and we are stuck with him for 4 years.....he is a lousy shooter who shoots too much.

And he is holding back better players.

Good thing it would not come to him playing 36 minutes per game.

Yeah but even at 28-30 minutes I doubt he's taking 14-15 shots a night. He's done exactly what we were hoping he would do.

It’s kinda funny, nobody is really hopeful he’s a positive impact. Only hoping to minimize the damage he causes

Its probably 75% of players who are truly over paid because each off-season they have to set a new overpay bar for free agents

they basically paid him for his defensive rep and hoping he can make his open 3s with some on court bodyguard toughness for the young core

When he tried to create for himself and shoot the 3 /jumper then you hold your breath, but when he shoots wide open 3's and taking it to the hole with a clean lane, then you just have to live with the results

He will be supplanted by Eason in 2-3 yrs, while Eason will still be getting quality burn, and learning some def. tips from Brooks in the process

Brooks is gonna be Brooks, love it or hate it, there is really no in between

Feels like an overpaid, bigger version of Pat Beverly

How did you feel about the Bev-inator?

That was a long time ago, I would say from a distance as a Sixers player now.....it suited him better.

Who was the enforcer on the Raptors? I am not sure there was one to win it all.

But as a Rocket and knowing his limits you had to love the way Bev use to go at it against other teams, he was like a honey badger

Brooks is the overpaid version of that

Nope, I am not wired that way, I leaned to Shane Battier, the cerebral guy.

Yes, he hounded but hounded with grace.

You do not have to be an ahole. Also the results are about the same.

    Trevor Ariza, Mr. Nice Guy.

......Ariza? Was not a nice boi. He killed Rudy Fernandes and scared Austin Rivers so bad that he pooped his pants.
