Pressly is the first relief pitcher in playoff history to get out of a 2 on nobody out situation without giving up a run in consecutive innings.
True story… My senior year of HS, my buddy and I stupidly decided to get stoned before a non district warmup game against a school that was way better than us. They consistently put out D1 guys. I was hitting third so I came up to hit in the top half of the 1st, so I’m still pretty lit, and their pitcher is throwing 90-92 mph. I struck out watching three straight fastballs. That day I learned hitting stoned is not a good look lmao
Are the stars aligning? Phillies stumbling, bullpen all of a sudden suspect. Dbacks trying to make a case to be in the World Series.
Phillies manager really screwed the pooch with Kimbrel trying to get a 2 inning save. Kimbrel threw 24 pitches last night. Kimbrel is potentially ruined for the rest of these playoffs. Phillies nowhere near guaranteed to get past the Dbacks. You can argue they are in trouble now with a screwed up bullpen. Gallen at home has been dominant all year long. Dbacks 3, Phillies 2 Phillies will be forced to win games 6 and 7.
Yep.. McCullers set the record for most HRs surrendered by a pitcher in a WS game. Next game, Philly went hitless.
He may not have been the MVP of any particular series, but Pressly may be our overall MVP the last 2 postseasons. He has gone above and beyond what can reasonably be expected of a reliever. Every damn time we've given him the ball, and he's been called on for some brutal situations.
I’ve been tied up with teaching and a social engagement but I saw that Altuve walked it off and there was a bench clearer. all I can say is HELL YEAH! GO STROS!!!
