It would help if we could actually run touchdowns into the end zone too like most good teams. Everyone covers our end zone because we have no rushing threat in the Red zone. That makes it more difficult. How many great teams have only 1 rushing TD of 1 yard?
I still cringe when teams throw inside of the 5 but now I'm like it is what it is. Discouraging when you start at the 1 yard line and get pushed 5 yards back on 2 rushing attempts.
I know exactly how you feel. Discouraging is right. We either need better offensive linemen or a better running back. I hope we sign or draft who we need to give us our best chance to change that in the future.
LOL, Stroud is middle of the pack in QB Rating this year -- he has definitely exceeded the low expectations that were set. Bryce Young is dead last in QBR for the season. Looks like I was spot on there, huh? Time to change your signature?
Stroud is on pace to be offensive rookie of the year. Just admit that you were wrong about him. You lose credibility if you don't.
LOL at the thought that 6 games in is definitive proof that Stroud is the guy to lead the franchise to a championship. We are 3-3 against a last place strength of schedule and one of those games was a flukey special teams and defense win. As I said, through 6 games he has exceeded the low expectations set for him. I'm rooting for Stroud -- and he has been better than feared. But how about credit for being SPOT ON with regard to Bryce Young so far?
The combined record of the teams we've played against to this point is better than expected so it hasn't been anywhere near a last place strength of schedule. Going forward that trend reverses so the rest of the season should be a fair bit easier.
