Damn.. no posts in this thread since Sunday morning. Road Astros need to get fans back into baseball. Watching Philly destroy Arizona lends credence of how incredibly underacheiving the Dodges have been during their recent run. All those big money players, all those 100-win seasons, and they still only have one ring to show during the weirdest season in MLB history.
i was hoping for diamondbacks but my gawd do they look outmatched. maybe they'll put it together once they're in arizona.
Philly looks so locked in. They are very hungry. That said, like anyone else, they can cool off at any moment.
The only thing keeping me sane is the fact that we won the title last year. Stated differently, I can’t imagine how unbearable this season would have been (and continues to be) if we didn’t win it all last year. This is one of just a few precious years (however many there are) in this golden era led by Altuve Bregs as the mainstays from 2017. It kills me we lost the first two games, but unfortunately they reflect the regular season. Nobody can say they are truly surprised. This team is capable of running off three straight in Arlington, but it just doesn’t have the bravado and magic of years past. Our hope is that the team catches fire on the road, Tuck and Altuve come to life. This just illustrates how damn hard it is to dominate from year to year, and pocketing those titles are everything. Flags fly forever. Hopefully we can hang another one this year or next.
The Phillies team that was undefeated at home in the playoffs after hitting 5 homeruns off of McCullers in game 3 and was then no hit the very next day and scored 3 total runs in the last 3 games of the series.
Exactly my point. They seem like they're on a mission this year though. Lance was tipping his pitches, BTW. You could see them talking about it in the dugout.
what a loser. not only is he wasting his own money but nobody will actually care or notices that nosebleed last row section. i mean if you're going to do something like this at least be close or visible
DBacks won. It doesn't matter in either series who started with homefield as a series 1-2 still has the same amount of home and road games left (2-2).
