Has less hits than Maldonaldo in these playoffs and casually jogs to a base hit like it's a spring training game.
I thought that ball was hit perfectly for a stretched double, but wouldn't be surprised if Tuck half-assed it.
This.... he should of went on an IR vacation, he won't say it, but it is obvious he is TIRED. I don't recall him hitting line drives lately. He needs to play DH to get rested. Hopefully a Rangers pitcher can hit him in the booty so he can wake up.
I don't, but am hoping. His .700 career postseason OPS is pathetic, he entered the playoffs in a slump, and his OPS this postseason is .400
Just re-watched.... - It's questionable even if Pena caught it. - Tucker didn't half-ass it. - ball hit Abreu's wrist, so he should've gloved it. - Abreu slowed the ball down which made Tucker run farther. Dubon had a crap throw to home, but Carter probably scores anyway. ____ The offense was crap yesterday and every time that happens with Maldonado starting it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Diaz is not a PH or DH. Altuve's stupidity was inexcusable. .
Look at the 43 second mark of the video on MLB.com. Carter is about a foot away from 2nd and sliding and Jeremy's glove is right behind his calf. If he catches that ball Carter is out.
Like I said, it's questionable. The bigger mishap was Abreu. If the ball hits your extended glove hand on your wrist, the ball should've been caught.
How about this one: https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/start-amen-and-cam-bench-brooks-and-fvv.321140/
Without question. The BBGs just weren't with the Astros yesterday. Both teams put 24 balls in play. Astros 5 hits Rangers 6 hits ABs w/ xBA of .751+ Astros 5 = 3 for 5 Rangers 4 = 3 for 4 ABs w/ xBA .251-.750 Astros 8 = 2 for 8 Rangers 5 = 3 for 5 ABs w/ xBA of under 25% Astros 11 = 0 for 11 Rangers 15 = 0 for 15 Astros xBA .287 Rangers xBA .230
If that ball wasn't deflected by Abreu's glove, it would have gotten to Tucker a lot quicker and it would have just been a routine base hit. It was just a fluky play.
I love so many things, so many people. I have a wonderful life. All Glory to God. I hate this thread. Despise it, actually. I wish there was a space whale that would carry it to another galaxy, far far away. Kyle Tucker has our backs. Don’t tread.
Gonna be impossible to demand a lot of money given his post season track record. The chances we are the ones to sign him are dwindling by the playoff game.
I disagree. Teams still pay a lot of money for players who play great in the regular season regardless of their performance in the postseason. See Kershaw.
